It's been some time since my reply but, since I'm here, I thought I'd mention that I've moved on from Evernote. I got tired of waiting for a fix while also watching their "feel good" videos (and thinking about the time and expense they put to making those while NOT fixing the bugs). I think I'll still check back from time to time to see if they fixed the filename reversion issue. My bug report had been open for at least a year and I can't tell you how much time I wasted on that...

I've got 3 recents on my shortcuts panel but I don't see a way to modify the presentation at all.

I understand completely. I've been asking for some improvements for years now (ios sort order for one) and haven't seen any changes along those lines. There have also been some bugs in the Macos version that I've been waiting for a fix on (pdf files revert to the original filename after I attempt to rename them...I don't know how long I've been using a workaround for that one but it feels like years). I've also monitored some other users requests and they seem to be largely ignored. Additionally, the following statement on the feature request forum has begun to annoy me: "One thing to remember: popularity does not mean implementation. Our forums are one component of the decisions we make, and while a bunch of ideas have merit, we need to be selective and always balancing priorities." Yes, it's getting to me and I've been looking for an alternative. Still looking but I will jump when I find it.

Thanks. I hope consolidating the discussions increases the exposure this request is getting but I'm also aware that users have been asking for this for years. I've upvoted but don't seem to see much interest either. Seems simple to me, too...three sort options (already there) and the reverse sort option of all three.

It's not an evernote function (should be a button in the note window or accessed with a long-press) but it is an IOS function and can be accessed using an external keyboard only. Use Shift-Cmd-D and Shift-Option-Cmd-D. That's a workaround only and not possible using the onscreen keyboard.

I would love to see the ability to reverse the sort order in the IOS apps.

Reverse the sort order for IOS. What a fantastic idea! I think the first request I read for this functionality was several years ago. Any word on how it's coming?

I agree wholeheartedly. I’ve been asking for this functionality for a year or more now but the original requests are much older. I think it’s time.

Interesting...I just realized I’ve stopped recommending Evernote. I still use it and I’ll tell people when I talk about going paperless and they ask. I guess I’m just not seeing any fixes that matter to me (I’m also having an issue with attachments reverting to the original name after I rename them...that’s been going on for a while). So...Evernote, the iOS sort order issue is starting to matter. I think it needs to be implemented/fixed. Also, can you run up the attachment renaming bug up the priority ladder? It’s starting to waste a lot of time

I would like to see this fixed, too. It's frustrating that when I need my notes sorted by oldest first I can't use the tablet.
