  1. I use Legacy Evernote and are pleased with the features I have.  I never come anywhere near close the file limits.  I use Evernote on an Android and a Mac and the calendar syncing feature does not seem too appealing to me.  I think I will stick with my $45/year plan.

Thank you for the quick responses!

  2. I've been a Premium user since 2009.  I'm currently paying $45/year, which is $3.75 a month.  The 50% offer I'm being presented says I can pay $2.92 monthly.

Reading further, it says that I'm subscribing to $69.99/year plan, not a $34.99/year plan.  So, is the 50% off for the first year, and then it resets to $69.99 after one year?

If I'm following the logic, I can pay $2.92 a month, and after one year, pay $5.83 a month.  I'm currently paying $3.75 (see above).  Is this a bait and switch, or is the $34.99 a year plan permanent?

It looks like I will save $10.01 for one year, and then pay $24.99 more than what I'm paying every subsequent year.  If this is not the case, why does the fine print read that I'm signing up for a $69.99 plan?

  3. After updating to version 10.1.7 I started noticing that things were not where they were supposed to be.  The reminder icon got moved to the bottom, where I didn't look for who knows how long, and the ability to select All Notes from the dropdown next to the notebook name was also removed.

Eventually, I found that there is a legacy version of Evernote.  It is here:  https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314

A side by side comparison makes it clear to me that the legacy version is superior to 10.1.7.  I don't need the new pretty things that 10.1.7 has to offer.  Not if it comes at the cost that 10.1.7 seems to want to extract.  One salient example is that v. 10.1.7 does not allow you to customize the toolbar.  That is, there is no toolbar to customize in the first place, which makes navigation problematic.

I count eight different drop-down menus in the legacy version and seven in the new version.  To me it is clear that the new version is an abbreviated version of what Evernote used to be.  If it wasn't for the legacy version I would be considering stopping my premium payments to Evernote.  If anyone at Evernote reads this, I have been a premium member since 2009.  I'm very disappointed that v. 10.1.7 isn't better than the legacy version.
