  1. Thanks @DTLow, but that is too much work, I may as well do what I do now: copy and paste into Word, fix the problems with the font changes and font size changes (something I complained about years ago ... and also hasn't been fixed), then print the doc with headers and footers... Actually, about 98% of my project notes are 2 to 5 pages, it is rather rare that I have really long ones. But browsers have page number codes, why can't Evernote? I can't use Word: I need to have access on my phone and tablet. In addition, the searching in Evernote is top-notch. I asked for this function to be added to Evernote years ago. The fact that it hasn't been is very frustrating. I'm starting to think I should look at other Note apps. The problem is that I have been using Evernote since 2008 ... so I would need to convert over 5,000 notes! If I get frustrated enough and find another app that can convert Evernote Notes and Notebooks, I would rather pay for something that has the functionality I need!
  2. Just printed a 20 page project plan to PDF. Same 0.5" margins as printing direct from Evernote, no page numbers in the header or footer, it actually looks identical to printing from Evernote. The only difference seems to be that that the print to PDF document is one line shorter than the direct print. The basic text is 8 pt Tahoma mostly so that's not much of a difference. I looked to see if there was some place in Evernote to add in the page numbers and couldn't find anything. Did I miss something in the above thread? Thanks, John
  3. Thanks CalS. I actually print Notebook Name, Updated Date, and Tags with mine. What I want is to have the page number in the header or footer added to that list As an example, I just printed a 40 page project note to review and summarize. I would really like to have page numbers also!
  4. Really? Let me look at that, I have been copying to MS Word, fixing all of the errors (fonts and font sizes don't copy properly), then adding headers and footers!
  5. Quirks? Yes, very quirky! If that is so, then why do they have changeable margins in File > Page Setup? That's what I've been doing and, frankly, it's a pain! It changes fonts, it changes font size, etc. Thanks Gazumped! Best, John
  6. I am running v. 6.16.4.8094. My printer margins are set to 1". However, when I print, the margins are half an inch! It is very difficult to use a 3 hole punch when you're punching right through the text! Can someone please check into this? Thanks very much, John
  7. In December, 2013 I posted this Feature Request (ID 288590) ----- Suggestion to Improve Printing of Long Notes In the options when printing, Evernote allows users to print the Note Name, Notebook, Date Created, etc. This is fine for short notes ... but some of mine are very long! In order to improve the printing of long notes, we should be able to add Evernote info as well as system info (page numbers, etc.) into Headers and Footers, the same way we can in Web Browsers, Excel, Word, and many other applications. ----- This has still not been added to Evernote. I find this incredibly frustrating as I have very long project notes that I must print out in order to review for accuracy, etc. Why has this not been added? Others have complained about it for years: searching for "page number" in Community returns dozens of entries! Thanks very much, John
  8. Thanks gazumped. I never use saved searches, very rarely repeat searches frequently. I agree it should be variable: I have room for about 8 on my Nexus ... and a couple of dozen on my tablet! Thanks again, John
  9. Thanks jefito, that worked! Windoze by the way... I did a search for recent notebooks move in the online help and found nothing. Thanks again, John
  10. When searching in Evernote for Android, only 3 Recent Searches are presented. I would prefer to see the 8 or 10 most recent searches. Thanks for considering this suggestion, John
  11. When we Move or Copy a note from one Notebook to another, only three notebooks are presented as Recent options. Personally, I think there should be 10 or 12 instead of 3! Thanks for considering this suggestion, John
  12. I have been an Evernote Premium client for many years now. I have made many suggestions through Customer Service and some in the forums also. But nothing seems to be done about my suggestions (I just added a note to a questions about page numbering in footers that I made exactly 3 years ago!!!). I had an issue with Hootsuite recently and, after tech support resolved it, I suggested that they make a change in their help files and better explain the particular procedure. The Hootsuite CSR pointed me to the Hootsuite suggestions page, where I made my suggestion very quickly. Someone replied back that it was easily done and would be taken care of after the holidays. Anyone who goes to the Hootsuite suggestions forums (https://feedback.hootsuite.com/forums/40182--hootsuite-com-web-dashboard) will see that thousands of suggestions have been made! And some of the suggestions have thousands of votes and hundreds of comments! Hootsuite uses UserVoice for suggestions. Evernote should consider using UserVoice or similar for suggestions as well: by letting Evernote know what is important to the user base, I think it will really enhance the engagement level of Evernote users! Hope someone at Evernote listens to this! Thanks, John
  13. Interesting that I started this port 3 years ago exactly ... and Evernote 6 for Windows still has the same problems! Today, I printed out an 11 page note that required some editing. I had to manually add page numbers on it so that I wouldn't lose my place. Is this 1976 or 2016? A friend who uses OneNote says I should move over. But, except for this page note in the footer thing, I really like Evernote!
  14. I mentioned this as an issue nearly two years ago, others also agree, yet nothing has been done about it! Doesn't seem like a huge change...
  15. When you choose to move a Note from one Notebook to another, the 10 most recent Notebooks should be listed instead of the 3 most recent ones.
  16. I have been an Evernote Premium client for many years now. I have made many suggestions through Customer Service and some in the forums also. But nothing seems to be done about my suggestions. So I am thinking of looking to see if other products have improved enough to make me switch from Evernote.. 17. In the options when printing, Evernote allows users to print the Note Name, Notebook, Date Created, etc. This is fine for short notes ... but some of mine are very long! In order to improve the printing of long notes, we should be able to add Evernote info as well as system info (page numbers, etc.) into Headers and Footers, the same way we can in Web Browsers, Excel, Word, and many other applications. Also can someone take a look at the font size issues raised in this topic: http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/44325-evernote-5-copy-to-outlook-has-strange-font-sizes/ Thanks very much, John
  18. This is still an issue, it should be fixed. As well, when you print from Evernote: The fonts print larger than they should URL's have a line through them instead of underneath Italics print strangelyThanks very much, John
  19. I find that copying notes from Evernote to Outlook has font changes. I just copied a note where the first line is Tahoma 11 Bold and the rest is Tahoma 11. When copied into Outlook 2010, it changes to Tahoma 13.5! In Evernote, I changed the fist line to Tahoma 14 Bold and the rest to Tahoma 10. When copied to Outlook 2010, the first line becomes Tahoma 17.5 Bold and the rest of the doc is copied over as Tahoma 13.5. I changed the whole note to Verdana, same font sizes as before. In Outlook, it becomes Verdana 17.5 Bold for the first line and Verdana 13.5 for the body text. Can Evernote be fixed so that the receiving application gets the same font properties that are in Evernote? Thanks very much, John
  20. I find the new search very powerful but also very frustrating. I was just searching for the word "suggestions". Evernote came up with: A list of suggested alternate search terms. Two Notebooks that had "Suggestions" in the title Tags with "suggestions" in them Recent Searches with "suggestions" in themAll of that is great. However, when I selected one of the 2 Notebooks, which is where I wanted to go, the list presented didn't change from the 59 Notes with suggestions in them! Please fix ASAP, this is highly frustrating! Thanks very much, John
  21. There are always some problems when printing from Evernote for Windows: The fonts always print larger than selected. My default font in Evernote is Tahoma 10 pt. It actually prints at about 14 pts. instead! URL's have a strike-through in them? We cannot select to print a page number when printing long notes. With regard to the first item, if I copy text from an Evernote that has text in Tahoma 10 into MS Word, it actually pastes in as Tahoma 13.5! Can these issues be fixed in a future release of Evernote for Windows? Thanks very much, John
