About kottkrig

  1. Alright. I think it's a bit jarring that the color is not the same as the rest of the toolbar icons but maybe that's just me?
  2. The color of the web clipper (version 5.5) icon seems to be off in the mac version of Firefox (version 20). It's a lot darker than the default icons.
  3. But you're not using the Developement Channel feature. That would enable us to get automatic updates when you upload new beta versions. This is a screenshot from Firebug's AMO page.
  4. Why not use AMO for distributing these betas? It would make it a lot easier for us to keep up to date with the latest release. Information about using the Developement Channel feature in Add-ons Manager: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/docs/policies/maintenance
  5. Great work! I found an irritating bug though: The save button in the new note screen doesn't graphicly seem to respond to touches. It saves and all but there should really be some kind of graphical feedback on the button.
  6. I still see an odd ghostly shape around the evernote elephant on the widget: Nexus One, Android 2.3. Keep up the great work!
  7. The new Widget is indeed very beautiful. I do, however, see a weird halo around the elephant icon that dissapears when I pan between home screens but instantly re-appears when the homescreen snaps into place. I'm on a Nexus One (Amoled screen). (Worth noting is that the notification icons are still quite fugly-looking in Gingerbread.)
  8. Right click in an empty space in the toolbar and click Customize... and then just drag the evernote icon onto the toolbar. I really think that Evernote should be put there automatically as no other extensions replicates this behaviour.
  9. It would be nice if you could redesign your notification icons so that they are more in line with the gingerbread icons. The evenote icon really stands out (and not in a good way) among the others.
  10. Is it just me or is the active click area on the Dashboard really small? It seems to only register clicks when they happen on the actual icons which seems very weird to me. In my opinion the whole button container (the textfield included) should respond to touch. I also found this graphical glitch in the Notes view where the thumb-scroller lies under the month-separator: Edit: Oh I noticed a few other things as well. The pins in the map view are quite low res, they need hdpi-drawables in order to look nice: The maps icon looks kind of weird and low res as well: All in all it looks like a solid update, keep up the good work!
  11. The Application icon is still a bit blurry on hdpi-devices: Just look at the sharpness on the Dropbox and Gmail icon and compare that to the Evernote icon. I'm not saying that it's like night and day but you can really tell the difference. The rest of the icons in the app are crisp and sharp though.
  12. A couple of the notes that I've created on 2.0 refuses to upload to the Evernote cloud. They're fairly basic notes with some text and photo attached but they just refuse to show up on the mac client and the web-app. What I notice is that these notes won't get a preview image attached to them (I suspect that you might generate those in the cloud). The notes work well on the device though (A testament to the robust offline capabilities in 2.0 perhaps?). I've tried to capture some logs of it but I couldn't find the relevant lines.
  13. I use the phenomenal application Recordoid Dictaphone Lite to record audio notes. (Be sure to change to High Quality in the settings) I then share the note to Evernote and voilá you get really high quality audio notes (I was actually shocked about the quality that my phone could produce). Leaps and bounds better than the built in functionality of Evernote. And it looks great too: Recordoid by Johan Larsson, on Flickr The only downside to it is that you're limited to 3 minute-notes with the free version and you cannot currently buy the full version on the Market. 14. All in all this is a really good update. However, there's one change I really don't like. I don't like that you made the note-previews smaller in the list of notes. (A photo of how it used to look) I really liked how it used to look. Large previews to help you find the note you were looking for. They're way to small now.
  15. I'm thinking that the layout of the Notes view should be more like the Gallery App on the Nexus one or the current version of Evernote for iPad: There should be a menu option to toogle if you'd like to see the Notebooks or the most recent notes. Maybe it's just me but I prefer a visual approach to finding my notes. I'm much more of a browser than a searcher. I keep my stuff fairly organized and even if I don't I usually recognize a particular note when I see it. The iPad version of Evernote nails it in my book. (To get back to the previous screen you press the back-button or the Evernote-logo. There should also be a setting for jumping directly to this view when starting evernote)
