I have Evernote premium but I am locked out of tasks. Am I supposed to pay more? Is this right?

I've been a premium customer since 2013 and was under the understanding that tasks will be available. Just recently renewed!! After new update, I'm getting message to "Try tasks free for 30 days". What is that all about? Why am I paying in the first place?
