About caffeine

  1. Oh Jeez.... this was driving me crazy. Every time I started to work that stupid thing would pop up and break my concentration. I wanted to HULK SMASH! something. Thanks for the info on the regedit hack and the pre-release tips!
  2. I'm a person of my word. You got it. But in *my* eyes, you're a hero! As far as I'm concerned, Chrome is the front end to Evernote!
  3. Whoa!!! I've been waiting for this for YEARS. I won't bother saying I'll never pay for Evernote until the development starts working on better table and list implementation since many people have already said it, and the Evernote team doesn't seem to care one way or another. It's the most useful application I hate to use. But -- you've just given me something huge -- really, really huge. It opens up a lot of things I've always wanted to do with Evernote, but either couldn't, or couldn't because it's too difficult / takes up too much time and effort (like creating tables in Excel and pasting them into Evernote). I would gladly pay *you* a year's Evernote subscription. I know you didn't write the bookmarklet or Chrome extension, but you deserve a thanks for putting the info out there (this is actually a serious offer!)
  4. Same issue. This thread was posted December 2012. A printing bug that's almost two years old now. I'll be SOOO happy when someone steps up to the plate and develops something that pulverizes Evernote into the ground!
  5. When I run the installer, I see: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Evernote.msi' in the box below." Showing is "C:\Users\p\AppData\Local\Temp". I must click Cancel here, and then it says "The older version of Evernote v 4.6.7 cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group." Then, whether I tried to install the update via direct download of an msi or via the application update interface, I get "Upgrade not finished" message or Bfgower's "\boorstrapper" respectively.
  6. I would be a paying customer *for life* if Evernote had LaTeX support.
  7. To throw my voice in. I, too, would love to see an outlining feature in Evernote. Outlining is a basic feature of note taking, and it seems like simple outlining is possible, but it's very crude and under-developed.
  8. OK, I'm a little sheepish here. I've been using the web interface for everything. I realize you have clients for Windows and iPhone, but web is always better for me since I'm primarily a Linux user who has to use Windows for work. I'm guessing this feature isn't available for the web interface to Evernote? Sorry for asking so many questions.
  9. How can one make a simple table in Evernote? I thought I remember reading that it was possible (or perhaps I'm remembering reading that it's possible to import html tables?) Thanks!
  10. Sorry, I'm a complete newbie... I found a way to sort the notes by either creation date or last mod date, but it requires that I publish the notebook. Basically, in the left hand green notebook box, click on "edit | properties". But the only choices appear to be creation date and last mod date. Is there a way of displaying them in arbitrary order? If not, then by alphabetical order of note title would be good. Is that possible? Thanks!
  11. Sorry for asking a pretty basic question. Brand new user here. How do I rearrange notes? It looks possible -- when I left-click and drag a note, I see an image representing the note moving with the cursor. It feels like I'm about to reorder the notes, but the note icon always goes back to the original position. Is it possible to rearrange the notes in a given notebook? Thanks!
