Can no longer copy/paste and then edit images

Still having this issue and unfortunately have had to abandon Evernote as a study tool as a result, but would really love to be able to file notes this way. Please help! -
Until about a week ago I was able to copy/paste cropped screen shots into my notes from PDF textbooks etc. Suddenly I can no longer paste from clipboard (only images, for some reason I can paste text without issue) and if I drag/drop images into notes I can longer modify their size. Anyone else having this issue?
