document title disappears from browser tab

Ubuntu 19. Latest Chrome. Dell XPS from 2018. -
At the moment, when reading an existing document, the tab may or may not appear in the browser tab. To make matters worse, it's inconsistent. For the same document, I'll clearly see the document title in the tab. Then, I'll click away from that document, to another. When I click a shortcut back to the original document, the title in the browser tab will simply show "Evernote".
