Same issue and I hate it, all my photos are trapped. Cannot even download them

I haaaaate this feature, I'm a heavy user of Evernote and you guys are just begging me to leave the app. I use screenshots all the time. Can't download the photos either, they show up gray I'm the downloaded file, so basically you locked my images and files forever.
