  1. This is ridiculous that this does not exist. The Evernote search functionality already has negative logic. Why has this not been implemented?
  2. I think you guys are missing the point. This is not a phishing scam or an attack that relies on user stupidity/negligence. This is about "hackers" who know your Evernote password and just enough about you, say your home address and whatever else Verizon representatives use to authorize you. The "hackers" can then transfer your phone number and request SMS codes. I guess you can claim that getting the user password relies on phishing, but the point is that Evernote Security can plug this security hole with either Google Authenticator (slightly more secure) or Fido U2F keys (phishing proof).
  3. Please refer to this article. In one line, it says "if your service uses 2-factor auth based on SMS (which Evernote does), you are vulnerable to have your phone number transferred and your 2-factor bypassed" https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2016/12/21/hackers-are-hijacking-phone-numbers-and-breaking-into-email-and-bank-accounts-how-to-protect-yourself/#4a2abe6f360f Suggested quick fix: Let users modify their phone number to 000-000-0000 if they are concerned.
  4. Why was there a decrease in functionality? When I click "share" in Chrome: OLD, better functionality: the elephant pops up and says "Saving full article" and then actually saves the full article, like this: https://www.evernote.com/l/AAFmpoHR5N5FsaEpd90_8fAq2Tou3AwXvnk NEW, crappy functionality: the elephant pops up and says "Creating new note with text" , brings me to the app and only saves a link and a screenshot of the webpage I'm looking at, like this: https://www.evernote.com/l/AAGvw598lwFNnL9H7yFxSDR8TmxsR5e7phM I also have to press the Back button or the note is not saved, meaning 3 clicks to save my article. The whole point of Evernote is to "Remember Everything". If I wanted a screenshot, I could do that by pressing the power and home buttons! Who made this decision? Android Chrome 53.0.2785.124 Android 5.0.0 Galaxy S5 Evernote 7.9.5
