  1. You can create a shortcut to a specific notebook: 1. Navigate to the notebook (Notebook ==> Notebook-of-your-choice) 2. Press the menu button and choose 'Create shortcut'. /Jesper
  2. You can create a shortcut to a specific tag: Choose a tag from the tag list, press the menu button and choose 'Create shortcut'. /Jesper
  3. I don't know why this happened, but you should try to delete the Evernote directory on the SD card before attempting reinstall, i.e.: 1. Uninstall Evernote 2. Delete Evernote directory on SD card 3. Reboot phone 4. Install Evernote This has worked for me in the past, when Evernote wasn't as stable as now. Everything has to be re-synched, though. /Jesper
  4. Evernote won't extract text from your handwritten notes, but it does index the notes, making them searchable. You need need some kind of stand-alone OCR software in order to convert handwritten notes to text. /Jesper
  5. This is a user forum and although an Evernote employee probably eventually will read your post, you should consider filing a support ticket here: http://www.evernote.com/about/contact/support/. My own advice would be to do a clean install, although that means resynching all your data: 1. Uninstall Evernote 2. Remove the Evernote folder on your SD card 3. Reboot phone 4. Reinstall Evernote /Jesper
  6. 1. On your phone, go to Settings, Applications and check 'Unknown sources'. 2. Type http://s.evernote.com/androidpreview into your phone's browser 3. Download and install
  7. Easy now, it's work in progress. Try the latest 3.0 Beta / Release Candidate. You can create new notebooks from that version: http://forum.evernote.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=25073#p106792 Direct download from phone: http://s.evernote.com/androidpreview /Jesper
  8. Go to Settings, Applications and check 'Unknown sources'. You can uncheck the setting after installation, if you wish to. /Jesper
  9. Yes, as far as I know PIN Lock is only offered to premium users: http://forum.evernote.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=23372#p100709 /Jesper
  10. The javascript bookmark doesn't seem to work on my good old HTC Hero. It just says "invalid url", when I try to create the bookmark in the standard browser. The url looks like this: javascript:(function(){EN_CLIP_HOST='http://www.evernote.com';try{var x=document.createElement('SCRIPT');x.type='text/javascript';x.src=EN_CLIP_HOST+'/public/bookmarkClipper.js?'+(new Date().getTime()/100000);document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(x);}catch(e){location.href=EN_CLIP_HOST+'/clip.action?url='+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+'&title='+encodeURIComponent(document.title);}})() Any thoughts? The Hero is running Android 2.1. Thanks in advance! /Jesper
  11. I am a very big fan of the PIN Lock functionality, which was implemented in one of the latest 3.0 Alphas. It would, however, be nice to have a grace period of say 2-5 minutes of inactivity before the PIN Lock engages again. Thanks in advance. /Jesper
  12. Evernote doesn't have a built-in PDF viewer. My understanding is that Evernote will open any attachment for which you have a viewer installed (Word, Excel, PDF etc.), so you probably need to install a PDF viewer(?) /Jesper
  13. I have encountered the the same problem on my HTC Hero, but only in the last two beta releases. It seems to be triggered, when you search for notes -- not when you navigate to a specific note (via Notebooks or Tags). The word "and" seems to be the culprit here, too. /Jesper HTC Hero Nordic (Eclair)
  14. It means that a rich text editor doesn't come with the Android framework. App developers have to develop one themselves, if they want the functionality - and that isn't all that easy (cheap). /Jesper
  15. The Omni-box like approach to saved searches works great. Also, thanks for re-enabling the 'share to Evernote' functionality. /Jesper
