  1. As gazumped said, the info are there. Other options: You can navigate in a particular notebook instead of "all notes". Android also has a "list view" that shows you the tags under the note title. And you even can go to "advanced search" and filter notes that are in notebook(s) A or B with tags Y and Z, etcI suggest you play around a bit with EN android user interface options =)
  2. Actually this "favorite bar" in Evernote 4.6 for Windows is not the same "shortcuts" you have synced between Evernote for Android, web, IOS(?) and Mac(?). I guess that next version of EN for Windows will have this functionality (shortcuts synced) too.
  3. Awsome reminders! Just a suggestion: Maybe there's a little issue with the alarm picker design. (Unlike in MS Windows), accordind to the Android guidelines, confirmation buttons should be on the right side. So, "ok" should be in right side and "cancel" at left side.
  4. Using Skitch + Evernote in Windows to get a simple screenshot or to annotate something produce notes with 3MB sometimes. Why so much? Skitch notes created on Android seems to have smaller size (in MB)
  5. Thanks, Muzykiem! I have ABBY FineReader (Windows), but I didn't know textgrabber. Just bought it (for Android).
  6. Mikel Teacher, I suppose that you handwrite some notes along the day and want to put it right away in Evernote using your android phone, and the camera of your phone isn't good. Best app I don't know which is the best scan app for android. But I've tried some and then bought Droid Scan (there's also a free/light version). It helps if the phone camera is good. But if it is not, you can adjust (edges, brightness, contrast, color) the scanned paper with the scan app. Kind of paper It doesn't matter. You can write anywhere and send the photo to Evernote. Actually, I recomend white paper with dark color pen. And instead of using a A4 sheet, try to cut the sheet in half or in four parts (because it will be better to capture with the bad cam). Workflow 01 Write down anything in a piece of paper. Get the android phone, open Evernote app. Tap to create new note. Tap the camera simbol to take a photo. Tap the icon that open the camera to create a new note. Take a picture of the paper. Click "save" the photo. (and then the photo will be attached to the evernote note). (if you want, type something describing the content, add tags, etc) Save the evernote note. (now your note is in evernote on your phone). Sync Evernote to internet. Workflow 02 Write down anything in a piece of paper. Get the android phone. Open the scan app. Take the photo and adjust it if needed. In the scan app, tap Share... to Evernote. (It will open a new evernote note with the picture attached). (if you want, type something describing the content, add tags, etc) Save the evernote note. (now your note is in evernote on your phone). Sync Evernote to internet. Tips I prefer to send these kind of short notes to Evernote in jpg or png, rather than pdf, because when I open the note in android, I see the picture right away. If it were in pdf, I'd have to take a extra step, opening thepdf with a pdf reader... See BurguerNFries post above about OCR in Evernote.
  7. I would prefer to export as a image instead of pdf. Did you try Skitch? I have a Asus Tranformer, wich comes with Supernote (You should also try Freenote). I write or type with my fingers. Then, generally, I export to Evernote as a image. Sometimes I just do everything in Evernote and Skitch. Other times, I use pen and paper, and then scan (or take a photo) into Evernote. Sometimes I make notes with a mindmapping app.
  8. juniorgolf18, I used to make my GTD lists in Evernote: one "next action" per note and used tags for contexts. To see a context list, I used saved searches (see Ruud Hein approach). But, in Evernote mobile (android), when offline, the search just work with simple terms. Nowadys I use Pocket Informant for my GTD lists and they are synchronized with Toodledo.com gatorbrit, you can email tasks to toodledo.
  9. when editing a note In landscape mode, if i select a word, I can't apply bold, italic, etc
  10. Well, it appears that there is no way using only the keyboard to enter the Black Star "★", in either Mac OS X or Windows (see posts from jefito). (...) But, to be useful to me, I need to insert/type the Black Star in one keystroke. Not exactly a keystroke, but a workaround (at least on Windows) is select the note(s),and then drag and drop into the "star tag" in the left panel
