  1. That's right. All Safari Extensions are distributed by the App Store.
  2. All web clippers have this problem -- that's precisely because web content is so unpredictable. Evernote's great strength (IMHO) is the ease with which one can store information in it. In most other respects, it is lacking (in search, in organization …) But I digress. By the way, the fact that the resubmitted web clipper hasn't yet been approved suggests that it has been rejected as well.
  3. For crying out loud, we're not talking about Opera, we're talking about there being no web clipper extension for the current version of the default web browser for the Mac OS platform!
  4. There's an apologist in every crowd. There aren't just two options. But yes, given the state of the Evernote clients (lack of significant new features, inability or unwillingness to fix longstanding bugs which are not easy to report given the incompetence of the "Evernote Help and Learning" team), preparing to leave the party seems wise.
  5. Yes, it is extremely worrisome. The CEO Ian Small is obviously a nice man, but I have always viewed their claims of "fixing the basics" with suspicion since the evidence is scant. The fact that they had a year to fix the Web Clipper extension instead of waiting until the last minute speaks volumes. Other longtime outstanding bugs (such as the Spotlight Importer crashes in Evernote for MacOS, not seen as a priority according to tech support) remain unfixed as well.
  6. Does the double-tap with three fingers work on the iPhone? Didn't seem to when I tried …
  7. Does Evernote for iOS support Undo (three-finger tap), copy, and paste?
  8. Yes, indeed. The bug has existed for months, I reported it months ago, and I recently learned that it still hasn't been fixed because it was judged to be "a priority"! I complained once more, and the tech support person said she would raise the priority. Frankly, I think this is inexcusable.
  9. How about Universal Clipboard support in 7.1 for Mac OS? The feature has been in Mac OS for 18 months!
  10. If I copy text from an app on my iPhone running iOS 11.3 and try to paste it into Evernote for Mac 7 (Mac OS 10.13.4), nothing is pasted. However, if I try to paste into another app, such as MS Word, the paste works just fine. I reported this as a bug, and was informed that "Currently Evernote doesn't support the Universal Copy/Paste ability between the two OS's." Universal copy/paste would seem highly important for a cross-platform app like Evernote! Furthermore, the feature has existed in mac OS for about 18 months now. If you agree, please indicate your support for this feature.

I reported this as a bug, and was informed that "Currently Evernote doesn't support the Universal Copy/Paste ability between the two OS's." How can this be? I have yet to see another mac OS app that doesn’t support universal copy/paste, which would seem highly important for a cross-platform app like Evernote! Furthermore, the feature has existed in mac OS for about 18 months now. If you agree, please indicate your support for this feature.
  12. Evernote 7 for Mac crashes every time I quit it, even after I nuked all traces of it via AppDelete and reinstalled from scratch. Mac OS 10.13.3. Already filed a ticket. Perhaps it's not good to distribute a major new release before a long weekend? ?
  13. Funny, I have the opposite request -- I would like the option to exclude notes from Spotlight indexing. I've created a separate thread for this.
  14. Hi, It would be useful if one could keep Spotlight from indexing Evernote notes -- there should be a preference for this.
  15. Yup, it looks like we're back to the same catastrophe. Why the folks at Evernote can't fix this is beyond me.
  16. Not true. I think that displaying a share menu means that the app has shareable content (regardless of other apps). In any case, DEVONThink Pro can receive notes from Apple Notes, for example. My guess is that Notes is sending information in rtf format, which Evernote can't handle.
  17. Not sure why you think this is Apple's fault. It's up to Evernote to appear in the macOS share menu or not
  18. When I choose a simple text note in Apple's Notes app and then go to the "Share" menu, Evernote does not appear (it is enabled). Is this a bug or a feature?
  19. Can anyone explain why, when printing long notes, there's no way to have Evernote paginate them? I'm not asking Evernote to be a word processor, but notes don't have to be less than a page by definition, do they?
  20. I consider that to be an obnoxious response. I'm sorry that this was off topic. However, I don't know who defined notes as short by definition. Surely you do not have the authority to do so!
  21. What's amazing is that after all these years, they're still fixing sync.
  22. The Safari clipper extension has been updated to 6.11. Open Safari and install the Evernote Web Clipper from www.evernote.com/webclipper
  23. Now DEVONThink to Go support "Open …", but the notes are sent across as files. How can they be transferred as just text?
