  1. OK. Great news. Thank you both for the replies. Seems that I can save the Premium upgrade charge.
  2. I'm an Evernote Plus member. My question is pretty simple, I think. If I scan a PDF into Evernote with a utility that makes it searchable via OCR, does that make it searchable within Evernote? Thanks in advance.
  3. Dave, Sorry for rehashing an old post, but isn't it true that if I go onto the web client and delete a note(s), then it/they will be deleted from any synchronized local client? So if the data gets deleted from the servers, will that affect my local copies?
  4. PCGuy, Have you tried this with Internet Exploder or a stable Firefox browser instead of the nightly builds? I'm assuming you are using FF3? Just wondering...
  5. Vogelap, Great idea. I have used Jott for quite a while, too. Great service. I also use it in conjunction with Sandy (http://iwantsandy.com) which I really like, too. I actually posted a "wish" that we could call into EN and have it transcribe the note. I guess this was a case of not seeing the forest for the trees! Thanks for the tip! Now, if we could just print directly to a PDF in EN! ;-)
  6. WritingStudio & nikjones, I goofed a little. You guys are absolutely right about docs scanned into .pdf files. I was successfully searching PDFs that were native. After posting my earlier post, I scanned in a few documents that created PDFs but was not able to search for any text in those. My apologies. I spoke too soon. I also agree that it would be great if EN supported PDFs. I'll be waiting on that, as well. I don't see much use over Leap, except that I can get it from any computer. Not enough for me to change.
  7. Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. I can search on text in the PDF. Not just the tags.
  8. WritingStudio, Another application you might want to look at for managing your PDFs is YEP at http://www.ironicsoftware.com/. The PDFs are searchable. I've been using it for quite some time and like it very much. It has a sister application called LEAP that I've been using, too. And, no, I don't work, nor represent, them. I'm just a happy customer. Hope that helps!
