  1. Thanks for the link. Wow, clicking links on the legacy version opens some notes on the new version, some notes on the legacy version. why can't they simply get note links to work normally? Looks like using both versions together might not be practical.
  2. The previous beta version could be run concurrently with the regular version. I would be content to still have that option (both versions simultanesouly).
  3. I believe I understand the request, but currently that's what I use note links for. The request somewhat resembles a feature of the collapsing outliner request in another discussion.
  4. Interesting, I have it enabled, not seeing a problem, maybe it's because I also have beta updates enabled? Not seeing a flood of reports, maybe it's a limited issue.
  5. Just a wild guess, it could possibly be related to duplicate devices, a recurring phenomenon for some reason . Go to your account online, check which devices are approved. If some of the approved devices are duplicates, try deleting the ones without a "last accessed" entry (I found two on mine just now, weird). Or you could just delete all approved devices and simply sign in again on the ones you are actually using.
  6. Not sure I understand the question, if you keep shortcuts on top, the toolbar right next to it has an 'all notes' option you can easily add. And if you keep shortcuts on the left panel, 'all notes' is a permanent fixture there, as already noted, perhaps you have a different idea in mind?
  7. When I still had access to the other computer, I found all the changes synced fine, but I found that whenever I deleted a note from my end, it would reappear on the other end and end up synced back to my computer anyway. Initially I was apparently able to change the notebook, but eventually it became frozen from my end (running "fix selected notes" on the shared notebook did not help). It apparently happened after I created a duplicate backup of the shared notebook on my computer to preserve the data in case it got deleted from the other computer.
  8. Normally if the view is set to a specific notebook, newly created notes would be placed there instead on in the default one. This did not happen too often before the bug, but often enough that I think my suggestion to give the user the option to disable it has merit. The bug described in detail on the link above exacerbates the problem exponentially, and even though the problem is still not huge, it becomes huge when the "wrong" notebook is a shared one, since it cannot be altered from my end for some reason. I created the original shared notebook myself while visiting relatives, but I no longer have access to that computer to fix the problem from that end, and the owner of that computer is is not familiar with Evernote and not terribly computer savvy. The black tags at the top of this topic mention some of what you are asking.
  9. Hi, this must have been discussed already, but I could not find it by searching: We have the option to uncheck "Assign selected tags to new notes". I am requesting the similar checkbox option "Assign selected notebook to new notes" (so the feature can be disabled by the user). The original motivation for this request was the bug below, but when/if the bug is fixed, it would still be nice to not have new notes created away from the default notebook without noticing, especially if the notebook accidentally selected is shared, which cannot be modified even with editing privileges, for some reason.
  10. This previously reported problem, which is still present, was causing a minor annoyance when I created a new note in the wrong notebook since I did not notice the view had changed. But now that I am working with shared notebooks, it is causing a major problem: if I accidentally create a note in a shared notebook, I cannot change the notebook back (it is locked), nor can I delete the note, even though I have full editing privileges. Please fix the bug below, it is too problematic.
  11. Hitting All Notes or F6 doesn't take you back to the last note you were working on, which it's not hidden, just moved away from unnecessarily in the note list, that would be the bug I think.
  12. Is it possible your view changes from all notes to a notebook view without your realizing it? See the following unresolved bug report to understand what I mean:
  13. Thanks, I hadn't noticed before that it was there. I wonder if there are other little known MsWord shortcuts/hotkeys that work in Evernote, aside from standard wordprocessing keys we all use.
  14. Thanks for the great tip. Just a question: what does the F4 key do by itself? I was unable to locate an explanation in the Help page for Keyboard shortcuts in Evernote for Windows, or in the program menu choices.
  15. As far as a I can tell, the note link follow issue when the tag/reminder search doesn't match appears fixed, thanks. The somewhat similar issue below is still present.
  16. 6:22.1 beta, as above. I have not yet been successful in getting support to understand what I am reporting so far, so just wanted to confirm if anyone else is seeing this.
  17. There is a problem in the note list when following note links:
  18. Hello, I think of this behavior as a bug: When clicking a note link, the note list changes from "all notes" to the notebook where the target note is located. I think expected behavior is to stay in "all notes". This of course is a problem when running a search and not realizing one is not searching all notebooks. 6:22.1 beta
  19. To find out if you have actually lost anything, check Evernote web. Assuming it is all still there, try the following, if one doesn't work, try the next one: 1-Reboot. 2-File menu/exit, then restart program. 3-File/sign out/sign in. 4-Reinstall the program (backup Evernote folders first). Hopefully you don't have to go past stept 2 or 3. If none of these works, and if others don't have other ideas, contacting support might be the next step. Some may suggest to sync, but in my experience, if the desktop program acts up, it is best to avoid syncing until you can get the program working, otherwise any data loss may spread to the cloud.
  20. Is that the phone you are using? I assume you already tried forums for your specific phone. I found a similar link: https://www.androidpit.com/forum/743076/what-s-the-default-format-of-phone-screenshot-png-or-jpg-and-is-it-possible-to-change-it Dealing with hard-coded root issues is nasty business. Sorry I could not be of more help.
  21. Android? Someone might know the answer at the Android forum, but I don't think you can do that in Android. But as Jefito mentioned, it might be a system setting rather than Evernote if you are seeing PNG, on my phone I am seeing JPG as well. You might need root access to make such a change, if at all possible.
  22. Hold the Ctrl key while clicking on Sync, you should be able to see the problem notes. Sorting the note list by sync may also help with seeing the problem. After that you can try any number of things on the notes that are not syncing.
