  1. Definitely the https://status.evernote.com page needs to be updated as soon as you know there is outage
  2. The https://status.evernote.com/ says nothing, but I have got this message for 4 hours in Evernote for Mac , and I can't even login to the web UI. Is the status.evernote.com reliable?
  3. On 2022-09-21 I reported this problem (ticket #3569217) and they could reproduce it on Skitch 2.9. In the tickets they answered Well, it's almost 6 months from that statement and Skitch 2.9 is still the latest version release (it was released 2 years ago) which tells me that maybe there is not going to be a new release ever.
  4. I open a support ticket and they confirmed that they can reproduce the problem but no ETA on when it will solved
  5. Hi, I'm using Skitch 2.9 macOS monterey and when I export as Skitch PNG I actually get a .png file with JPEG format inside I used imagemagick to check identify -verbose ~/Downloads/Evernote_Help___Learning.png Image: Filename: /Users/rubelagu/Downloads/Evernote_Help___Learning.png Format: JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group JFIF format) If I select just PNG it will do the right thing , but if I select Skitch PNG it actually generates a JPEG. Is there any good place to report that kind of bugs?
  6. Evernote support answered saying I confirm, that currently we employ a limited dictionary of names so far that will come up when applying the filter contains: person. This advanced search filter has just been introduced and at the first stage it is more of proof of concept at the initial implementation. The support for more international names will be added soon.
  7. Alternative: Cmd+Control+E , to bring Evernote to front and select search Cmd+J : to bring the "switch to..." box type the search press arrow up to select "Search for ... in Notes" Press enter that will trigger a search and clear the filters. but you can't use any advanced stuff on the search like notebook:mynotebookname or contains:attachment, etc.
  8. So let's see for mac the steps that work are: Cmd+Control+E , to bring Evernote to front and select search Cmd+Option+1, to go to Notes (Home), this clears both the search text (if any) and the filters (notebook filter, etc) Cmd+Control+E again to select search I think I'm going to fill a Feature Request so that this process it's easier. see Keyboard shortcuts in Evernote for Mac for a complete list of the shortcuts
  9. on mac the global shortcuts for evernote is Control+Comand+E , but it will still have whatever filters I had used last (usually filtering by a notebook). Is there any way to clear the filters, from the keyboard? Looking at the Keyboard shortcuts in Evernote for Mac I don't say any (reset search not available), and I tried to specify notebook:othernotebook but that doesn't overwrite the one already listed in Filters. So, am I forced to reach to the mouse and click on the x for the previous filter?
  10. > Are you looking to locate specific names, or all notes containing any name? All notes containing any "person name". The use case is that that I want to search for all notes containing "aws cloudtrail" (I have lots of them) and want to narrow it down to the note that contains the name of a support engineer that I don't remember (or even I probably couldn't spell it even if I remembered it). I'll try the support ticket route.
  11. I haven't test throughfully but it seems to me that evernote contains:person does only recognized english "person names", I tried creating a note with an english name, a note with spanish name , a note with a chinese name , and a note with an indian name (all of them Firstname Surname form) . Only the english note was recognized. I work with chinese and indian teammates and their names are often in my notes but I can't find any of those notes when I use "contains:person". So, assuming that I'm right and that the "contains:person" is only for english names, would it be possible to expand it to cover that part of the population?
  12. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313828-Use-advanced-search-syntax according to the Use advanced search syntax pag e contains:person find notes with "Person names" , but how does Evernote recognize person names exactly, is it a fixed list of first names and surnames? If so what languages are included in that fixed list ? I don't think spanish names, chinese or indian names are recognized, at least I created some notes with a single name in each language and only the notes with english names are selected by "contains:person" I can't find anywhere in the documentation what constitutes a "person name" for evernote, has it been discussed anywhere?
  13. Hope that you solve this quick, it's been a while now. This is a must wehen working with technical notes, source code, RFCs, etc.
