When I try to send a file while it isn't running, it opens the programme, but the file isn't added.

Before the new Evernote version, I could send pdf files to Evernote by right clicking on them. Also my scanner could send the scanned pdfs directly to Evernote. That doesn't work anymore. When I try to send pdfs there, it just says "Evernote is already running" and doesn't do anything more. Is there a way to fix that? It really impedes my workflow ...
