  1. I've been getting this error the past few days …

Try using the 'copy code' in ChatGPT's top right corner for ordinary copiable text.  Paste it in a search box for more correct layout...

Yes that's what I usually do when I have a short conversation, but if I want to save a long one for the future then it's not feasible to do that manually for every code box.

If the text on the page is white, why doesn't Web Clipper save it as white from the start? Is it a bug?

  3. I've encountered a problem with the Web Clipper when clipping conversations with code blocks in Chatgpt. After clipping the page, the white text in the code block is formatted significantly darker, making the text hard to read in the clipped note. Ideally, the text should maintain its original color.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues and are there any known workarounds or fixes? Any insights or suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a screenshot of how it looks like in the browser:

And here is a screenshot of how it looks in Evernote after I've clipped it to a new note:

    image.thumb.png.9784e1da38aa835ec38fca9b1bffce2b.png

As you can see, the white text has become much darker after Web Clipper has clipped the page and is very hard to read.

  4. I got this notice too and decided to cancel. Obviously Evernote think they have the pricing power to raise the price by 50%, but they don't have that with me. I don't think it's worth it anymore, so I cancelled. Then, as I was cancelling, I got an offer that said "Wait! Don't go! We'll give you 40% discount if you stay!" so I took the offer. That small raise I'm fine with.

It defies me that simply showing an option that can be unlocked with a different subscription level would be greedy.

That in itself is not what I mean is greedy. What is greedy is that this feature was available for the plan I have - Personal - before Evernote 10, but on this version they suddenly decided it's not available anymore, that if you want to keep existing features that you are already paying for, you have to pay more.

Because I was paying for that feature, among others, before they removed it, and now added it back on a higher price tier. They give me less value for my money now than when I became a customer, and I can't see how that is a good or reasonable development.

  6. I just opened a note where I have an excel file attached, and it shows half a preview of the sheet and the other half is an advertisement to upgrade to Professional to preview the whole sheet. This is outrageously greedy. To preview a spreadsheet has been a feature available to paying customers for years. It even works in Evernote Legacy! But in the newest version, they want me to upgrade to Professional to view the sheet. What is this? They are removing features from paying customers, hence making the app worse, and moving them to higher price tiers. It is so sad thay they had such a wonderful product and are ruining it more and more as time goes by …

You can’t solve the problem by asking every app to make its icons optional, and there are too many useful menubar tools to believe this strategy would ever work.

That's exactly what we can and Apple already does ask every developer to make their menu bar features optional in the app settings, as clmensch wrote. Evernote is not following apple's guidelines and we the users have every right to demand that they do.

I used the legacy version on Mac before they made the horrible new one. It was a couple of years ago and man I had forgotten how good it was! Just installed legacy and everything is so much better. No elephant in my task bar, I can open many instances of the app, I can edit HTML in clipped notes without breaking the formatting etc. For real, legacy evernote is just like things are supposed to be! I'll never use the new versions again.

Thanks for the warning btw, I haven't switched to Ventura yet luckily, but I'll be ware when I do!

so it is or it isn't possible to drag a video in a note and play the video directly in the note? That would be a great feature!

I would like to see the video thumbnail and being able to play directly.

the same way you can now see the Youtube clips.

That is not the problem, sir!
We want to play the video directly on the note!

Yes exactly, that's what I mean. I don't want to double click, wait for it to get downloaded and open up the default player. I want to be able to play it directly in the note.

  10. Hi everybody!

I'm sorry if I post in the wrong section, this is my first thread here.

I'm using Evernote for Mac and I'm wondering if it's possible to assign a keyboard shortcut to a specific note? So that when I press the shortcut, Evernote will open the note I have assigned to it. It would be neat to always be able to go back to my table of contents-note with a simple press of a key.
