  1. Thanks for pointing to a possible use case. Have you tried on one of the installed clients, or on the web client ? Personally I would not give a presentation using the web client. It has no offline capability, so if in the middle of the speech the internet fails, you will have to do the rest without your write up. I think I would rather opt for something like PowerPoint or Keynote, having Speakers notes as integral part of a presentation. Even if you don’t show the presentation life, you can use the speakers notes. Or use software made for teleprompters. You can send any proposal to EN using the feedback function. Personally I doubt they will implement a feature with such a narrow scope. But one never knows.
  2. LOL - running software deprecated for 2 years now, with a successor already counting 49 releases cycles. Crying foul when being himself 50 (!) releases behind only shows bad updating habits. Nobody is testing if a piece of software that’s out of the loop that far will stand an OS change. If it fails, it fails, it’s as simple as that.
  3. It looks like a SurfShark Alert message. Surfshark Alert warns if the credentials entered by a user were found in a breach on the internet. To me this sounds as if a user paid 92.02 up front (This is NOT my invention, it says so on the SurfShark Website) to get the same he could get for free from https://haveibeenpwned.com . It does not mean a website (like Evernote.com), has a problem, it means that this specific user has a problem. The login data he uses for his EN account is already circulating in the dark net If he has no 2FA enabled, it is just a matter of time until his account will be visited. If I were this user, I would be concerned - and probably change my login mail address and password. For any other EN user, the warning means nothing. Remark: I love panic attacks by people who buy expensive security, but don’t even understand what they are paying for.
  4. No EN staff on the forum. Issue a support ticket if you feel something should be checked. Do so from the device with the trouble. Attach an activity log. iOS 16.1.1 (if still on 16.1. you should update), EN 10.44 iOS. No issues, working fine for me on an iPad Air 5.
  5. Oh, great alert 🚨 ! Incident date - (meaning there was no incident) Exposed accounts 0 (which again means no incident) The red flag probably tells you just successfully hacked access to your own account. Congratulations - you made my day 🎊😜🎆🎉🎇
  6. AFAIK EN Tasks are still no part of the (documented) API, and as such not „advertised“ anywhere. EN v10 does not allow scripting, which seems to be a general problem with Electron based apps. “Soon“ is just an acronym for „not available“, and no invitation to believe anything will happen „soon“. Personally I would say stick with what’s available here and now, use it and be happy. Just as a reminder: EN Tasks is not meant to build „yet another task manager“. It primary goal is to make EN notes actionable - and THIS it does better than any other solution.
  7. This can‘t compared 1:1 with v10. The local database played a more significant role in legacy. V10 syncs on the spot - at least that’s the idea.
  8. You can duplicate, multi select and then move. But the thread owner wants full support to create copies and stuff them elsewhere. Next step is that you start to modify one of the copies, then another. Then you find out that each copy holds a part of the total picture, but none all. And then we have a request for a tool that compares and automatically merges all copies into one note, holding all information. All because people are trained to folder structures, going back to the dark age of MS-DOS and the like. One copy, few notebooks, tags. And no easy escape to litter the EN account with copies not needed at all.
  9. The subscription for personal is 69,99 on a yearly plan. Professional is 99,99. How this means that Personal would be more expensive than Professional evades me - alternative math ? You can get Professional through a 25% promo at the moment, for the 1st year, for about 75. Still a notch above Personal, my calculator tells me. And only valid for the 1st year, moving to the full price after. EN Personal roughly costs the same as a full O365 Subscription. Which means for me, there is limited room to raise prices. And it means who pays it draws benefit from subscribing, or has not yet realized he doesn’t.
  10. Your decision if you want anybody who can check activity logs, server side issues etc. It would cost you the equivalent of a large "to go with flavor", in most countries, to subscribe for a month. Else I can only tell you to check your browser cache, if it holds a redirect or something. Since you are the only person in this thread, and we have no similar ones in the whole forum as far as I remember, I think it may be broken - for you. This means likely the solution lies with your personal setup, not in a general problem.
  11. The AppStore version is 💯 % the same software, but the Mac executes it in a sandboxed mode. This is giving problems when trying to interact with other programs or use utility functions installed on the Mac. I use the direct download since running into similar problems back in 2019, still with legacy 7.14. No more issues with the direct download.
  12. For me the best option for smaller docs is the 2x lens, not Macro which takes the phone a few cm above the document. The lend is sharp enough to catch all details even when cutting away at the edges. And the phone won’t cast a shadow on the doc when using the Tele. Beside this: The last real feature release 2.0 of Scannable happened 7 years ago (seven !). We had iPhone 6S back then, sporting a single lens, on the 6S+ with a stabilizer for the first time ever. Since then they are „correcting errors“ or added the ability to use Scannable with a Business/Teams account. I doubt there is anybody left understanding and able to modify Scannables outdated code base. Using modern camera SDKs is as far away as the moon. Just my 5ct …
  13. Use an app build for code, and save the files into EN as an attachment. On Macs COTeditor is an excellent, free option. It even allows to pick the programming language in document settings, to make the color coding code specific.
  14. The logical option is to select multiple notes and MOVE them, if it needs to be moved. This is supported by multiple selection menu. Usually a note is not even moved more than maybe once. ENs basic concept is to hold ONE copy of content, and use TAGs to organize them. Creating copies of the same to put it into several notebooks is folder thinking, contrary to ENs organizational concept. This should IMHO not be made easy. Learn to use tags instead of littering your account with duplicates.
  15. There was exactly this initial post, the thread owner never answered or confirmed - which in itself should be a reason to close the thread - and from then on it was all Mac. And again - my main point is that the last post was about iOS beta 16.2 with a crash. This is not „the same problem“, as posted. And the thread title explicitly reads „iOS 16.1“. This is not splitting hair, we have way too many posts here telling about „same problems“ when checking they are not „the same“.
  16. Foggy days, foggy outlook. Anybody bending spoons around here already ?

  17. Many users have given up to restart their computers daily or at least on a regular schedule, like turning it off once a week for the weekend. Many users just keep it running. Update check on computer restart does not do the job for this simple reason. The EN updater does nothing different than the updater function build into many other apps. It checks for and delivers them. Maybe because of the continuous improvements released you just think it would do something out of the regular. To me it sounds like Perception over Substance.
  18. Reading through this thread I rather think most of those posting here use the Mac AppStore version of the app. Correct ?
  19. This thread (if you would have taken the time to read through it you would have noticed) is about MacOS, not iOS. This is the first reason why opposite to what you say you do NOT have „the same issue“. The second reason why you don’t have „the same issue“ is that you don’t use release grade software. Your iOS version is 16.2, which is still in beta. The latest official version is 16.1.1. If you want to report a problem with a beta, contact support.
  20. The forum is user 2 user, and we do not meet developers here frequently. If you want to contact EN about some dev issues, do so via support ticket.
  21. Integration into general OS search is not available on Macs, and Spotlight is IMHO way superior in searching on/off device than the Windows equivalent. EN has its own distinct data structure, and IMHO will not build a tool that opens it up to any other search than the one build into the app. There are other notes apps that are integrating Spotlight search into their strategy. If it is a key feature, one needs to make a decision about moving. No idea about Windows, the apps that will do it are exclusive to the Mac/iOS platforms.
  22. My personal estimate is you will never see code formatting. Asking for something and then counting down the years is a futile exercise. EN does not advertise it is build to structure code, and expecting it is nonsensical. There is no real gain for a note taking app in venturing down that road. You can ask for everything. But for the time being choose another tool to keep you productive.
