I tried file > quit a couple times but it didn't fix the problem. I have realized actually that even when I pull the window to the minimal size, next time I open it it becomes a bit bigger. It's incremental, actually, so every time I close and open again, the window gets a bit bigger. Yes indeed, minimising is the workaround I use as well. Over the years I have just gotten used to manually resizing every single note window every time I open it separately. I just wonder, wouldn't it be convenient to be able to set up a preset size for new windows? Many thanks for the quick reply btw!

I'm having the same problem, 10.44.8, Windows 10. When I close a note that I had opened in a separate window with the standard X in the top right and then open it again, it resets the size, always bigger than the screen... unless I shrink the note window to the minimal size allowed. Then it will keep this size when opening again. Hum... I guess I'll just send a support ticket.

When I installed version 10, and I realized it forced me to have a note preview panel open, this alone made me go back to Legacy. I think the need to keep screen space tidy is quite an important one. I just want a tight list of my notes, then I decide which ones to open. Please add the possibility to remove the preview panel!
