I've been a premium member for a long while now. Today, I'm ditching Evernote because I can't continue without markdown support. Six years and so many votes / requests going totally ignored without even a hint of "we're working on it" feels like a company out of touch with its users or their needs. Markdown support means an option to use markdown, leaving people to choose other formatting options if they want. The inflexibility (and general incompatibility of Evernote notes with anything else) has become a deal breaker. Sad because there's a lot of other things to love about it.
