  1. Windows 10 user, using a portrait screen monitor with the taskbar on the left, alongside the landscape monitor where Evernote is supposed to spend all of its life. When I start Evernote, the Do you want to create a note box pops up, HALF UNDER the taskbar. Luckily, the half that shows has the expand button to make it go away and for Evernote to show up. If it's first thing after a sleep or power off, Evernote emerges along with the other half-dozen programs I load at startup at the top of the portrait monitor, but that's a Microsoft ***** up, not Evernote. But this popup window is Evernote's issue and it is inexcusable. First, it's not something that you can turn off. Secondly, just for giggles, I thought I'd move the taskbar to the right side of the monitor and attempt to open Evernote. Do you know you can't get rid of the popup? Until you move the taskbar elsewhere. Why would the engineer and manager who thought this up and then approved it, NOT HAVE THE POPUP SHOW SCREEN CENTRE????? Yes, I'm one of seventeen people in the whole world (one passed away recently), who uses a taskbar on the left. Since SCREEN CENTRE or MONITOR CENTRE is a setting for every programming language known to mankind, it's a SINGLE CLICK TO ELIMINATE THIS ISSUE. Evernote seems to take two steps backward with every single step forward. I LIKE OPTIONS. Others here probably like this popup. And if so, you should have it. Others might just ignore it. And there there is the few who hate it. I'm in that crowd. It's like the glowing text on your settings screen for your account. Sigh. Now, somebody here will take the wind out of my sails and point to where it IS an easy option to turn off. I Thank You for doing that in advance. Please be safe this holiday season.
