  1. Hi Pink Elephant, thanks for your reply. I have just checked again because I thought I had entered the wrong type of account yesterday in my moan. Now then, the Windows app says under "Tools/Account info/Account level: Evernote Premium". When I sign in and check online it says I am on Evernote Personal! Whatever it is I pay $69.99 per year for it and that is enough. I was really annoyed yesterday because the pop-ups had kept coming up previously with the message that the offer was expiring on Monday. On Monday - "Offer extended!" and I kind of threw a wobbly. I've got over it now and although I have not seen the message today, but if it does reappear I will try your suggestion. Thanks for your help.
  2. I find this repetitive Pro "offer" a very irritating intrusion. Some background: I have paid for Evernote since shortly after I first downloaded and used the free version back in 2011. I am an old geezer (now 79) whose short term memory was poor back then and is now much worse. I mainly use Evernote as an aide-memoir to record times of medicines I have taken, other health matters and personal notes such as shopping, online orders due, book reviews I have read online and other penny-ante things in day to day living. *NOW* - when I do click on the Evernote icon to open it, it is because I have 1 single thing in my mind which I wish to record for later reference. Evernote opens *AND* up comes "Upgrade to Pro" which absolutely gets on my t*ts and drives my current thought from my mind. I then cannot remember why I opened the blasted app. Although I pay $69.99 per annum for the Premium account, I pay that willingly because of the great help that Evernote gives me in my personal life. I am paying that amount for an average usage of less than 10MB per month. Checking today I have used 33.1KB out of 10GB, with 18 days left in my present cycle. Why would I want to pay more! If my memory was not in such a bad state I would have emigrated long ago from Evernote. It is expensive for my needs but it fulfills them. However, there comes a time when the worm *will* turn and if this PRO rubbish continues much longer - I see today it has been EXTENDED! - I will be off. Rant over.
  3. Why, thank you very much, gazumped, with a typical reply from a company (or shill) who does not believe that *paying* customers should be listened to. I, nor *ANYONE ELSE* has attempted to *DICTATE* the next developments. Everyone, so far as the posts I can see on this subject had politely requested over a period of almost TWO YEARS for this anomaly to be fixed. Only after Evernote apparently ignoring these requests did I add my 2 cents, "FIX IT". I have paid *MUCH* money to Evernote over the years though only using their service on what I could have had for free. I believe in paying for things I find useful *BUT* I also sincerely believe in Companies listening to fee-paying customers, *especially* Premium fee-payers. I too am a Premium subscriber though I only use Evernote for a few notes per day for mainly personal medical notes which I must keep up to date for health reasons. You seem to be saying that I should have no input despite paying many dollars over the many years I have supported Evernote. Fair enough. If I am denied my voice then as I said earlier, Evernote will be denied my money and you, sir, have *JUST CONFIRMED THAT DECISION*. NOW, "gazumped", you sound just like an Evernote employee trying to defend the absolute ignoring of polite requests from users, *especially* as you have 27,234 posts registered to you. My word! Do you ever even get time in the day to use Evernote for what it was intended? So, "gazumped" - go stick your "advice" where the sun don't shine and you have just confirmed that I will NOT be renewing my many, many years of Evernote subscriptions.
  4. This is coming up to 2 years since disable autoformatting in Android was requested by many. I have been with Evernote since almost the beginning and paid on the spot every single year even though my usage is extremely minimal. When Evernote cease listening to paying customers, then I cease paying money to Evernote. If this unwanted "feature" still cannot be disabled come my renewal date you will not get another penny from me. After 2 years the time of polite requests is long past. Fix it!
  5. Did Evernote *ever* take note of the multiple complaints re the change of icon colour? If so, I have never seen an answer. "You are old, Father DuvidJay," the young Evernote Man said And your eyes are exceedingly poor! Do NOT bother us with such petty complaints [about Green Elephants] For we look for the subs from the ... ... Massive company sign-ups which we now wish to handle as against your own, singular, whining, whingeing complaints about the *colour* of the Elephant in your task-tray! Your Tasktray is of no interest to us! For *WE* are the future! Evernote will one day RULE THE WORLD ... ... "Well, maybe, son" as my Daddy used to say, "But do be careful when you're ditchin' all that bathwater." "Make sure you keep a hold of them babies who first paid their nickels and got you started ... "
  6. Well, from all the "informative messages" I have received from Evernote, plus this silly change of the colour of the icon, I now definitely have noted in my Google Calendar that Evernote's renewal must be cancelled. I've been with Evernote almost from the beginning as a personal user. I use it only for myself; I use it as an aide-memoire to enter reminders of time and date when I have taken certain medications which must not be repeated withing a certain timespell. I have paid for Evernote Premium since one month after trying the free edition and being more than satisfied with all it could give me. *NOW* - it is Evernote, bye-bye. Thanks for all of your [paid-for] help over the years but you no longer meet the needs of a "Personal" customer, despite your claims.
