Really no change from the previous Notes. The Wacom pen designed for the Notes are around $40USD. I bought an S-Pen with eraser for around $40, over 3 years ago and still works with a few quirks on the latest Note 8. And I've dropped it countless times and it still works on my Surface Pro 2, Note 2 and Note 8. Some offset is noticeable but still works fine.
