I am not able to adjust line spacing, don't see any interface to adjust it. any suggestion? shall I assume the feature isn't there and there's is simply a fixed inline height? I can see it upon selecting lines.... I understand EVX is now going to mobile stuff + ai sucking content mode only. so it's understandable the media reader wants a fixed inline to suck. font size is a gift, almost irrelevant since you're using a notes not a word-editor. any help = thanks example of selection - you can resize font (15down) while inline height keeps the same...

in the effort to get rid of that harassing curse of <press "/" for inserting..> I tried to start lines with white dots. the caret-cursor disappears. disappearing cursor has been an old bug in evernote. anyboidy has suggestions on how to get rid of that thing of press "/".... ? or why the cursor disappears? only a paranoid can start a paragraph with the same suggestion every time like jack nicholson <shining>... I checked notion and it has the same slack-like function without harassing people's work. however I see bending spoons acquired meetup too, so there is no chance they will do sth for this app evernote, it's all about mobile sneaking content via ai now. a little battle against google before it eats you.

@MDA13 RE | sync - syncing it's always been an issue with everonte. I managed to use MANUAL SYNC the likes of F5 refresh button. This way I was always in control (at least) that notes stay local or are synced. that way i could manually understand differences and adapt properly. now evernote is following the trend of all apps to work in the cloud only, where a simplified interface with option let you do almost nothing. The new EVN interface works some way, still I see there usual naive paranoias of coders like the persisting "/" following you even in the toilet.... I hoped evernote won't follow the trend while keeping agile and not too much structured (I want 2b free writing notes, not pushed by dozens of suggestions). I was wrong.

QUESTION: does anyone know how to back up all notes? my trust in the app after the upgrade went to zero, I think it's best to back up everything because the risk of losing years of notes isn't zero either. it' simply disappointing how evernote team disregards of users that have years of paid-notes at risk, forcing everybody to upgrade in the blindness of nowhere.

to all thinking i'm crazy moaning..... THANK YOU EVERNOTE! STUCK AGAIN WITH SYNC right now...... I am now loggin to web then back again in the app.... very handy and quick for users that aim to quick notes..... it simply works very badly. I think it's hones saying the true: it's impossible to work with such a sync. tried NOTION and it's far more stable, web-apps are always more stable. maybe evernote should advise not to use the app, admitting the true. they have made a mess.

I wish everybody writing a letter or sending wapp, even dining or going toilet to receive suggestion: I'd love to speak face to face with the guy who suggested such a curse in the interface..... it's not a question of <better> against <old>. it's simply harrassment. once you learn that pressing F1 opens HELP you don't need the prompt whatever click you are working on. from google to evernote these guys that spend themselves as UI experts are just unemployed with a blinking-star feeding monthly cheese....

WE ARE ALL DEAD. EVERNOTE IS DEAD. NO REASON TO USE AN APP THAT WORKS LIKE A BROWSER. they are probably crashing and we'll be probably forced to unreasonable prices soon. I have heard everybody is looking at NOTION, but it's different. probably by adequately configuring notion and doing some practice you'll have a more stable and reliable version for free. I'm now looking into it. there are clearly signs that evernote is closing support and moving to a cloud only service.

I'm one of the unfortunate being foerced to upgrade from legacy. I'm publishing this thread to cope with IMPOSSIBLE INTERFACE AND SETTINGS that make this program unusable. pls do contribute with suggestions so we know if we can survice with the mess.... evernote is almost dead. 1_ stupid harrassing suggestion at any paragraph, in general contsnt harrrassing suggestions everywhere. anybody know how to turn it off? 2_ pressing title-display over the top, so you cannot insert a formatted title within your note avoiding duplication. anybody know how to select the display blocks of a note? 2_ useless persisting link over the top. whenever a note refers to multiple links it's a stupid/confusing waste of space. 3_impossible SYNC. the bloody forced autosync not only slows down reading and crashes notes, but makes it almost impossible using notes properly. anybody knows why this horrible feature keeps going in the desktop app? using the desktop app like a browser makes the desktop version irrelevant. 4_alternatives. anyody is exploring alternatives to the mess evernote has come? ------------------- 5_ pls do contribute with suggestions, otrher issues, alternatives, solutions the mess all forced users have been forced by the guys.

thanks ferol for the comparison, I'm getting thru it since indeed I am desperately looking for an alternative. apart from detailed comparison, fact is - after I've been forced to upgrade from lagacy - NOTION is certainly too much structured and based on templates to give you teh freedom of jotting that is expected from a note program. I am now testing it to see if in some way I'm able to get accustomed to NOTION. On the other side, EVERNOTE is now absolutely unreliable and unstable. In particular, they removed MANUAL SYNC that for years was the only afordable way to make the program work. Now the software is almost unusable and very slow. Maybe they will force everybosy to work via browser. I also noticed that some waythey slowed down the flood of templating, trying to guess how you gonna use notes while you JUST WANT TO JOT quickly something and have a good means of archiving them. That is good, apart form the pain in the ass of the pushing HOME/DASHBOARD, a classic home paranoia of old stuffy designers that do not understand how web interaction has changed. Let's keep updating with NOTION versatility, so we can finnaly migrate to somethjing that is more stable. I see the old drawbacks of evernote are here to stay, just covered up by some fancy design. maybe you think that killing users or deleting words like C*R*A*P from posts is clever than comments... true is YOUR NEW LAYOUT DOES NOT WORK WELL. YOU HAVE TO KEEP IT CLEAR IN MIND WHEN YOU PAY YOUR PEOPLE: THE NEW VERSIONS ARE UNUSABLE (INCLUDING THE MOBILE APP). and we are all doomed for the sake of your monthly payrolls.

NOW WE KNOW --------- it's all ***** now. evernote is doomed forever. they sold the business with no regard of users wanting to write notes. it's all about stupid useless integrations to suck content all around... nothing that cares of users.

I do not understand from the message if the usual LEGACY version will serve all users that cannot withstand the new layout. Where I can find the download of the legacy one? The legacy version works perfect. To be honest I don't care of the company business expansion so that it will destroy the interface with useless stuff. can anybody explain me what's the ESCALMATION MARK I see on the SYNC and what does it mean? maybe it is not clear: forcing a spellchek with notes is not annoying, it is IDIOT! it is impossible to use notes autocorrected. because I want to add my notes -- IE I want to use my words and my vocaboulary with my own notes. this is pure arrogance and dementia. as for the legacy, I have not received any update and the bloody death showed up. this means either they FORCIBLY updated or the software is a stupid interface, sucking data out for an index. In general this bad moon rising of evernote means only one thing: it works as a secondary tool to index your stuff and suck your data out, leaving the software $ coming from paid users as the side financing. In a word: they sold to MS + GOOGLE + APPLE. no way it is a tool for taking notes anymore.

dear user, once this codes go into MS and the cloud there is no way they will do something good for you. they are there to index what you write and delete what you think. this is the new internet.

the only way to get it out of it is to know the name of the idiot that pushed for it and spread the verb of his demency in internet . just for the sake of indexing it does not mean you have to insult users redmarking their notes because they are not writing the way a bloody index likes.... there is hell out there.

this is really a nightmare only an idiot can leave the spell checker writing notes for you. this is the most hated irritating insult coming frOm MS+GOOGLE+APPLE and possibly evernote had to get bound to their slavery. indeed there is no certainty this program will be reliable enough in the future once it turns to W10 codes. I paid for evernote and spent lot of times using this software, now everything will be destroied by MS and the evernote team. I am orrified and irritated. I had explained the advanteges of evernote in my company, maybe now I will be fired.....
