    I misspoke: I didn't mean to 're-download' the data, I meant, will the data stay on my computer? after I redownload the EN app from apple. Instructions above say to choose "erase data from my device". I am still a bit confused about whether the content is safe or not.

    By clicking the option to "erase data"- will that really clear out all of my data. can I save the data and re-download from Apple?
