  1. Yes, update policies based on a product that has no roll back feature, so as Alxa has described, he's again a victim of the same bug again. Hence the advice, even though it sucks to have to use such a work around to avoid being victimized again, unfortunately like many of us we never update to the newest release of evernote. It's unfortunate, but there really is no other solution. You updated, now you're bit by the same bug and now you're stuck again. Without a roll back option it is a roll of the dice every time you update evernote. Now you go ahead and tell us irrelevantly how you always update because you never have any problems with evernote. I'm sure that's a super relevant bit of knowledge for Alxa who is screwed again. 🙄 When people are having a problem telling them you don't have a problem is really helpful in pinkelephant world I guess, but not in everybody else's reality of losing time, money and productivity due to a bug you feel the need to tell the world you don't have. Stop trolling the thread please.
  2. Are you not following along? This thread and discussion is exactly about the software being the problem. What on earth would make you say such a silly thing? This entire thread is about software called evernote not working correctly for hundreds of people. Move along and stop trolling as usual please. Nobody suffering, losing productivity, losing time and money with a bug in evernote gets any relief from you discounting their problems with your condescending derailments of the topic questioning whether someone is having the problem they are taking the time to seek a solution for.
  3. Yep, with every other app and every other piece of software I have, they are kept up to date and on auto update, but not evernote, that is suicidal with there long and basically perfect history of buggy and bricking updates that everyone wonders how they beta test their updates and the answer over the years seems to be they beta test live with their user base. They don't even offer the most basic service of a roll back option. It is unfortunate to force their customers into this corner, but you have to play defense with evernote or risk paying the consequences.
  4. Never ever upgrade to the newest release, stay a few releases behind. Most software you want to update for security issues and such but if you are an experienced evernote user you know to never update to the newest release ever.
  5. How about adding the sync button back? Thousands of users complaining about the problems with evernote not syncing properly and no force sync anymore, and you guys are high fiving over reoccuring tasks?
  6. I can't believe I'm sitting here for 25 minutes... I created some new notes on my desktop this morning, and I open up evernote on my laptop 8 hours later and the notes I created aren't there. Go look at my desktop, there they are. I swear to God these idiots sit around and figure out how can we make a product worse this month?
  7. Because dumb ass, the syncing of Evernote fails or there wouldn't be 3 pages of posts from users requesting a solution to it not syncing. What is your bizarre infatuation to defend evernote while emasculating real people with real problems with the product? If you can't offer a solution why do you reply to a thread just to post snarky bitchy responses to people? Get a life. Obviously there is a huge problem with syncying nobody needs you to keep replying to people about how its not a problem for you, its not about you, its about the people having the problem.
  8. The only solution I've found is cut and pasting the text from each evernote note, you loose any formatting, which for me is mostly just bolded or italic text areas. But the images are the real problem. Right clicking on each one to save to a folder on your computer is extremely time consuming as evernote wants to save each one with the same name so you have to manual change the name and save into a folder and then manual upload each image into your wordpress media folder and then insert into your post one at a time. I saw one post from someone that helps a bit, which is to drag your images one at a time by opening the note in evernote online, you can open a folder on your screen and drag each image individually, and evernote renames each one separately and saves automatically without any additional key strokes needed, so that is a huge time saver, you still have to upload manually one at a time to wordpress and then insert into the new webpage one at a time. Very time consuming process. There is a software solution called Zapier that creates an interface between evernote and wordpress and can duplicate your note into a wordpress post, but unfortunately they don't transfer any images.
  9. I have thousands of notes I need to turn into Wordpress blog posts. They are photograph heavy, every conversion scheme I've used at best will transfer the text but not the images. Any methods to turn notes into wordpress pages?
  10. Thanks. Another question, is there a way to back up the notes that are online instead of having to do local back ups? Does Evernote supply any online back up or our notes?
  11. Logging into evernote.com I see the notes missing from computer A show up on the web client. I hate to remove the database from computer A and reinstall it due to being nervous that I might lose something, however if this is the only way, it is the only way. However, I was hoping there was another way less drastic than a delete of the data base. I remember vaguely something about a 'force' sync or something like that used in the past to make evernote do a 'complete' sync I think it was called.
  12. The pictures I uploaded show the issue, The 1st picture shows the contents of the note "Tuscany-Val d'Orica" on both computers, on computer A it shows 9 notes, on computer B the same notebook shows 11 notes. I circled the two notes that show up on Computer B but not in Computer A. The 2nd picture shows that in my Italy folder I have 1124 notes on computer A and the same folder on computer B shows 1131 notes No amount of syncing seems to change anything.
  13. That's is not a direct link to the download. That is a link to the discussion about the link and the link in the discussion doesn't work anymore (as said already). If you think what you're posting works, then click on your own link, click on the link in the discussion you are linking to and post the page that link is supposed to go to with the download. This should be very simple for you to do if you insist the link on the discussion you are quoting works..
  14. Once again... same story... APKMirror is not hosted by Evernote - this is a 3rd party, no thanks. Please read the thread. About the 20th time. Apparently people have no idea what it means when someone says there is no download available from Evernote. Let's make it simple. If someone says, "hey I want a McRib from McDonalds, but they don't sell them anymore" responding, "Hey go to 20th and Lincoln, knock on the back door 3 times of the diner, a guy will come out and give you a bag of chicken" is not helpful.
  15. The is no argument, maybe you are confused. I specifically asked if the is a legacy download from Evernote. Maybe you don't know what that means? It means does Evernote host the download. Your link refers to a download from a 3rd party. Do you understand the difference? And the link you provided now links back to the thread you provided, it does not now go to any software download. You say it works for you, what you really mean is it worked for you, its an old link and doesn't work now. Feel free to provide a link to a legacy version hosted by Evernote. Just post the link to the download, not a link to an old thread. You will be doing a service to hundreds if not thousands of users. Thanks.
  16. @agsteele No legacy version from evernote available on your link provided. This is the same old story that multiple people post on here over and over again saying there is an evernote hosted legacy version available. As of right now, no version available. Follow your own post you quoted and see for yourself.
  17. Every dowload I've seen for a legacy version of Evernote is a 3rd party download, is this link you are referring to from Evernote or a 3rd part again? If it's from evernote please share it as this will be a first.
  18. And did they provide a download to version 8.13.3? So far the biggest crime with evernote is they #1 Don't provide a way to roll back when you update #2 Don't provide any legacy downloads to older versions It's like you take your car to a mechanic in to have a problem fixed on your engine, they replace the engine and then the car never runs right, they tell you, well you could put the old engine back in, and then you ask where is it and they tell you they sent it to the landfill, it's gone.
  19. My offline notes, the images do not show up in the notes when I view a note offline. The only way it seems for a note to be fully populated is if you first view it online, then that note offline seems to have cached the data, but if you don't view a note online prior to viewing it offline data is missing.
  20. What do the developers do all day? This has been going on since December.
  21. At what point does Evernote issue a credit when their app hasn't worked for 3 months? Going on 3 months now that the android evernote app hasn't worked... 🙁
  22. Today I tried to open my notes on my android phone and the notes are all blank. 3 months now with a useless app.🙁
