  1. When there is a new version of Evernote available, I get a pop up window asking if I want to download it. But it doesn't say what version it is. This seems like a simple thing but is very inconvenient if it is not there. I have to go scrawling through the Evernote website to work out which version of Evernote is being offered to me. The reason this matters to me is that knowing which version is being offered to me makes a big difference as to whether or not I do want to download it. Compare for example: upgrading from 10.38 to 10.39 upgrading from 10.38 to 11.0 upgrading from 10.38 to 11.1 I would be much more cautious about upgrading to 11.0 when there are likely to be teething problems to such a big upgrade as opposed to 11.1 when there has been some ironing out of those teething problems. So, please can you tell me in the pop up window, which version of Evernote you are asking me to upgrade to. Thank you.
  2. I get a pop-up when there is a new update available. But the pop-up doesn't say what version number the update is for. It would be useful to know what version update you are offering, so I know whether I want to update or not. For example, my response would be different if the update was for 10.33.41 or 10.34 or 11.0 or 11.1.
  3. I see what you mean, yes. Now I see the appeal of having an encrypted notebook.
  4. I can't find this setting. Where is it? I have: 10.29.7-mac-ddl-public (3186)
  5. I appreciate the encryption feature. But I don't understand why I can't encrypt text that has headings, or bullet points. Please enable encryption of formatted text.
  6. How do I restore the EN folders from my backup? Finder > Library > Application Support > Evernote? .... then what do I do?
  7. So if I use Time Machine, will it back up the local database on my computer? And then if I need to restore EN notes, I delete EN from my computer, then download it again using the database from the Time Machine? Can someone explain in simple English how to do that? sorry I don't know much! 😅
  8. By "the whole folder" do you mean Finder > Library > Application Support > Evernote? How would I then access a note from that folder?
  9. I have seen the thread but I still can't find the "full copy of the database". I got as far as: Finder > Library > Application Support > Evernote But then there was a whole load of folders and files that I don't understand (I am not a computer whiz!). How do I find the locally stored Evernote notes on my Mac?
  10. Insert Date is ⇧ ⌘ D According to the list of shortcuts: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313358
