No, I send one file in one email. The pages are in order in that file. If I email the file to my gmail address, the pages are in order. When I email the file to evernote, the pages are out of order in evernote.

Its all over the place in evernote. No consistent order. The order is in order of the pages 1 thru 76.

When I email my handwritten notes to my Evernote email address, as SVG or PNG files, the note pages are out of order! I am sending as SVG or PNG, because I need these notes indexed, allowing me to search them.

I wish the Remarkable 2 (RM2) did this handwriting indexing. This would solve the issue of searching handwritten notes in evernote. RM2 Is the best digital handwriting tablet I have ever used, and I have owned an Apple Pencil and iPad for quite a few years. It will be a lot of extra steps, but if I email or export a RM2 notebook to Good Notes, can I make it index all the RM2 notebook pages? I would then email the indexed RM2 notebook to evernote.

Why do you use Goodnotes, rather than Evernote to index your handwritten notes?

The other good news is it only took EN minutes to index my notes, rather than days.

UPDATE: Good news is that Evernote, is searching and finding handwritten words in the PNG documents, that I emailed from my Remarkable 2 (RM2). When I look at the Note info in Evernote, it depicts 18 words in the PNG document. I assume this is showing the number of words that were indexed from my hand written note? I then converted my handwritten note to text in the RM2, and 39 words were accurately converted. I assume this means the Evernote OCR has much room for improvement, assuming I am undressing this correctly. A response from a more knowledgeable EN user than me would be appreciated. Jeff

Can you expand on your problem? type of files you are emailing to EN? Any other pertinent detail?

I did read it. I was questioning DT Low’s response because I emailed the same note as a PNG and the search still did not find any words in the doc. I will re-email it as a PNG, wait a few days and try again. DT Low, I was not intending to insult you or your knowledge. I apologize if I did. I am hoping my next msg states it worked. Jeff

I emailed the RM2 note to Evernote as a PNG. Still not found in a search.

From a writing experience, the RM2 is the most paper like e-writing device experience on the market. It is also aesthetically a good looking thin device. I agree they need to open their eyes and minds to syncing with 3rd party apps, considering this is what we actually do with our handwritten notes and other electronic writing tool (i.e. Livescribe). All the other requests they receive hourly are asking them to create a tablet, and that is definitely not what their device is. For those folks, the RM2 is not for them and they need to get over it. If I can get the Evernote search working with emailed docs, the RM2 will become my one and only note taking paper or electronic device. BUT, syncing truly turns it into a winner for those folks understanding it is an electronic notebook, with a few useful features!

I have tried emailing PDF handwritten-notes from my Remarkable 2 e-writing tablet, to Evernote, but they are not found when searching a word I have written in the note. I have made sure the word I search was clearly written and legible. It seems like Evernote is not doing any indexing on these emailed notes. I am strictly a MAC and IOS user. This is happening on my iphone and Mac. Is there a setting or something I need to do, for Evernote to index the emailed PDF note? This is a critical need for my daily workflow! Thanks, Jeff

I just tried searching some older pdf handwritten notes i emailed to Evernote from my Remarkable 2 and they are not being found in a search. Frustrated.

Ron, Spot on! What you have done with your handwritten notes, is exactly what I have done too. I have no want to convert to text and loose probably 25% of my note due to sloppy handwriting. Exactly like you i try to write some words neater knowing they will be good search terms. However, I did not think it took multiple days for the indexing to occur. Like you, the evernote’s search is what has kept me an Evernote customer since 2011. I will wait a few days and try a search again. If it does not work, i will escalate. Rob, i appreciate your comments, but you are missing the point. I have 500 pages of handwritten notes. I want to find the page with maybe someone’s name, and review my notes from this meeting with this person. I should be able to search the persons name and it should be found in an evernote search. Understand?

To be clear, I have written words clearly in RM2. Then I Email the note to my personal Evernote email address. The note is now visible in Evernote. I then try to search a word that is written neatly in the note, and the note does not come up in the search.

I have done that. But when I do a search in Evernote, my notes do not come up.

I want my notes to remain handwritten, with the ability to search them in Evernote. Converting to text and sending to Evernote defeats the purpose of having handwritten notes and then I have a bunch of editing to do.
