Changed "Automatic Note Saving" to 300s (it was at 30s!!). I understand if something happens I could lose up to 5min of work, but it's better to redo that than get constantly slowed down. I'll report if it helps! Thanks for the suggestion! EDIT: RgaDawg, if it started happening after the update, then it's probably some issue external to Evernote's client, because I had a pretty outdated version and it started happening here, and then when I updated it didn't fix anything. Probably some issue with how EN "talks" to the server, or something like that, but I'm still applying all suggested chan

Before I report what I have so far, I believe the client getting slowed down so easily is a problem. Now, I noticed while working on a text only note that the freezing / not reponding thing has not happened. The note that was crashing EN all the time had a few dozen images inside it (and pasting a new image was sometimes the cause for EN to freeze). The text-only note, though, still feels slower than a text-only note should feel. Selecting text is super laggy, to the point I stopped holding SHIFT to select text and I just go with the mouse, because this way EN won't lag for every cha

It keeps happening, apparently. I was typing just now and right when I noticed it stopped registering the keys, I looked up and it was Sync'ing, as most of the times this has been happening, and then it stopped responding forever. I tried to wait it out, but it just crashed aftwerwards. The data base thing didn't fix it, but I still have to try signing out and restarting Windows and running EN without other programs... I just can't do it right now.

I'll try signing out and rebooting later, thanks for the idea. RAM is fine. When I noticed EN freezing for the first time I thought it was low memory, but when I checked the Task Manager, it was under 30% usage from all programs. If it's interacting with something else, then I wouldn't know, but I can try running EN for a while later without other things opened (especially Chrome). Also, I use an SSD, so that's not the case either.

For several days now, I noticed Evernote is freezing a lot more. Sometimes it freezes while I'm typing, sometimes while I'm pasting an image I have in my clipboard, sometimes when it's sync'ing. It will randomly return or not, and when it doesn't return I have to reopen it. I was using a very outdated version when this started happening (I don't update as long as problems start happening), so I figured I would finally update, but it's still the same (if not worse).

6.14.5.7671 (307671) Public (CE Build ce-48.0.5483)

Windows. Version 6.13.14.7474 (307474) Public (CE Build ce-48.0.5483) I updated into this version yesterday in the hopes of fixing this, but it didn't. I THINK this is happening since the previous update I made maybe 2-3 weeks ago, but I'm not sure. But before it was only eating the spaces from texts I pasted and I could add them back. Now even when I add them back, if I go into some other note and back, they disappear.

I had replied this to another topic, but the title of that one wasn't very direct to the issue, so I'll repost here. I'm using Evernote on Windows and I have the following problem: I type into the note with spaces, but when I move out of the note and back to it, Evernote eats my spaces between paragraphs. I don't know why it does that, but it's extremely disturbing and it wasn't happening before a couple of updates ago. Example: "This is the text of my first paragraph and look how I'll separate it from the next one. This is the text of my second one, and I need a space just

I'm using Evernote on Windows and I have a similar problem. I type into the note with spaces, but when I move out of the note and back to it, Evernote eats my spaces between paragraphs. Example: "This is the text of my first paragraph and look how I'll separate it from the next one. This is the text of my second one, and I need a space just above it." Just updated into 6.13 and the same thing still happens. I'll try to illustrate what happens: imagine the vertical bar is the cursor and the line just below is the table. Paragraph text, paragraph text, paragraph text, paragraph text, paragraph text, paragraph text, | paragraph text. ____________________________________________________ If I try to hold down "Delete" to get rid of the last "paragraph text", I somehow end up deleting the table. It only happens when there's no empty line between the paragraph and the table.
-
If I place a table inside my note and remove all spaces between it and a previous paragraph, then go edit that paragraph and press "Delete" while typing inside it, Evernote automatically jumps to the table and selects it. If I press Delete more than once, it deletes the table, which is extremely annoying, and makes me resort to deleting text with Backspace instead. How do I stop this from happening?

Control Which Image Shown in a Note's Thumbnail/Snippet View
Pyrefox replied to marcelo's question in General Feature Requests
Please let us select the thumbnail picture shown in the note previews. I read the forum and I saw there is an annoying work around, but that's why I'm requesting this feature for real. Something like: • right click the image and select "Use this as Preview image" (I believe this should be the easiest to implement) • right click the note preview and select "Pick a thumbnail" that leads to a small selection of the images available inside that note • right click the image and set a priority that overrides the current priority These are just ideas, but any of those
