  1. Normally I'd like to keep up with the latest versions. Since a while I run EN v10.x and got used to it. But I do still have the need to keep the legacy version on a virtual machine. Why? Simply because there are still functions which I had and are now stolen from me. For example the export to HTML is still not what it used to be in EN v. 6.x (legacy). Right at the start of v10 it was so buggy that is was nearly unusable. So me, and for sure lot's of loyal users where not amused with the way this move was organized. btw the legacy still works, as it was when they pulled the plug.
  2. I have a Personal account that should allow me to add files up to a total of 200 MB per note. It also worked that way in version 6.x. However, in version 10, when I insert a 60 MB attachment, I get a message that it exceeds 200 MB and will only be saved offline. Does anyone have the same problem and can this be classified as a bug? I've been testing on this with the Mac as well as the Windows version. (Windows EN 10.65.3-win-ddl-public (20231103200848) Editor: v176.15.0 Service: v1.77.1 .
  3. I was told not to use V10 and the deprecated version 6.x alongside. I understand, but I need to since the export to HTML from V10 is much less the quality I had with version 6.x. So I have to keep the legacy version alongside in order to export to HTML, which I need for sharing documentation.
  4. Hi, i don't have dual installations on one operating system. I just have two separate virtual machines (Windows 10) And, I have EN 10 installed on MacOS. Only EN 6.x legacy on Windows is working as expected. And, if I upload a pdf (with textlayer of course) within EN 10, then I see it in EN 6 as perfectly well indexed. In any EN 10 version the document cannot be found by searching on content anymore. It's just not working. And, to answer your question: I installed EN 10 on a clean Virtual Machine. As I said, EN 10 is not trustworthy at the moment. I must keep a EN 6 installation to at least find my stuff on index.
  5. Well, the PDF-file still not indexed I uploaded a week ago. And the funny thing is that it's working perfectly fine in EN 6.x legacy. I still have both versions on 2 Windows virtual machines and EN for Mac.
  6. If I add a searchable pdf to a note, I should be able to find the note by content. With EN 6.x (legacy) it works fine, I just checked. In EN 10 10.63.4 the search-request completely misses all content of a pdf-file. I just checked with EN 6 and I find my file in a note, perfectly fine. I repeat the test in EN 10 and it misses this file. My conclusion is that EN 10 is still not a trustworthy replacement for EN 6.x
  7. I will send in a ticket. Since the mandatory migration to v10, I only have to deal with bugs and functionality that is no longer there. I'm a bit done with EN.
  8. My problem is that I had good functionality in version 6.x and some functionality is just stolen with the migration to version 10. It was a part of my proces !!
  9. I started using Evernote seven years ago. An important criterion when choosing Evernote was the ability to export notebooks to HTML files, including all documents. After the mandatory switch to Evernote 10, I see that the HTML export has deteriorated very much. The attached documents in the notes are still placed in a subdirectory, but in the HTML file I no longer have a clickable link that directly opens the document for me. I now have to read the name of the document myself and then look for it in the subfolder. I wonder why. It would be so simple for Evernote to include a direct link to the file in the subfolder one directory deeper. This functionality is so important to me because I see the export to HTML as an important access to data in the event that Evernote no longer works or is available. It is also a great way to share and archive static data. HTML browsers will always be there. My question to Evernote: will this functionality, which we lost with the upgrade from version 6 to version 10, will come back?
  10. Versie 10.xx is around for so long time already, but due to thing like described above and much more, I can still NOT MOVE FROM VERSION 6.X TO VERSION 10.X. I thinks it's time to look around for alternatives, since Evernote is not fixing bugs in version 6.x and moving upwards to version 10.x is still no option for me since this version is lacking so much we had in version 6.x. 11. I appreciate the new developments and Evernote keeping me up to date with the rewrite to version 10. However, the encouragement to upgrade does not clearly state that the latest version does not cover all functionality included in version 6.25. I would miss the Outlook plugin and probably even more things. A good reason not to upgrade yet. I would appreciate if you guys could be clearer about that in the communication. I use Evernote on Windows + Android. Joost
