  1. Hi all, thanks for reporting this issue.

Our development team is currently investigating to find and implement a permanent fix for this error message. It looks like this issue is intermittent, and it may happen at anytime with random URLs.

While not ideal, here's a workaround that might work in the meantime:

    1. Sign out of your Clipper account: Invoke Clipper > Select Settings > Logout
    2. Refresh your browser
    3. Sign back into Clipper: Invoke Clipper > Sign in

  2. Hello,

As a first step to isolate the issue, please make sure you are on the latest Safari version (Safari 13). If the issue continues, it is probably because the old Clipper version is still installed and causing conflict on updating to the new version.

If this is the case, please try these steps to uninstall the old Clipper version:

    1. Open Safari and select Safari > Preferences from the menu bar.
    2. Choose Extensions > Evernote Web Clipper > Uninstall.
    3. Quit and reopen Safari.
    4. Once Clipper is uninstalled, please go ahead and reinstall it from the App Store.

    Same result:

Updated to 7.12.4 - however the AppStore did not show the update, I had to search for it manually.

The websites mentioned above work just fine.

Version number after the install ist still 7.12.3.60 -1.0.5. (30), taken from the Webclippers Settings page.

@Shane D. Hello Shane, could you please check on the version number issue ?

I understand the version listed on App Store is different than what it shows on Web Clipper. I totally understand this is confusing and I'll do my best to clarify this for you guys.

The new release is 7.12.4 release version: 1.0.5. I understand you may see as 7.12.3 - 1.0.5 on Clipper, but it's the 3 last digits (1.0.5) that identifies the new version.

    Catalina Safari 13.03.

Webclipper doesn't appear in the Security/Privacy pane to allow it access.

Webclipper appears as an app in Launchpad and Applications folder and as an enabled extension (see attached image). However the icon does not appear in the Safari tool bar as it once did (prior to Catalina) and there is no webclipping functionality.

    Looking for answers.

    Thanks.

When you get a moment, please check the box to enable the Clipper extension, like this:

  5. Thanks for reporting this. We've got some other reports about this issue this week. It seems that this is isolated to Chrome beta versions 75 and 76. Our development team is currently investigating the root cause to determine the best way to correct this issue.

While not ideal, a workaround is to use the non-beta Chrome version (version 74).

I appreciate your understanding while we work to resolve this issue.

  7. Hi guys,

Thanks for reporting this. We've had a few similar reports of this behavior in incognito mode. Our development team is already aware of this issue.

At the moment, I don't have a time or date on when this will be resolved. While not ideal, please use Web Clipper in non-incognito mode as a workaround.

I appreciate your time and understanding while we work to resolve the issue.
