  1. @PinkElephant @martyscholesThanks for that. Have you guys ever just moved/copied the database from one mac to another given it would be quite a bit faster over ethernet or even SSD to SSD if in target mode or something vs downloading? BTW my EN data is not located in users/myuser/applications upport/evernote... I suspect mine is in a different location based on using diff versions of EN over the last 10 years as well as using macOS migration assistant moving from mac to mac. Mine is located here below. Notice the odd directory structure. /Users/tomn/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/Application Support/Evernote/resource-cache @DE manIs there any downside to changing back to legacy EN? For example, my wife and I have shared folders, notes... and also use the iPhone apps. Makes me a bit nervous going to legacy after already moving forward. God forbid we mess up the database... My wife's database must be a least 50GB.
  2. For other people looking for where their EN data is located, mine was not in Application Support but here... /Users/tomn/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote I'm assuming that this was migrated here at some point when upgrading to a new version of evernote. It's a bit odd because within the directory com.evernote.Evernote has a directory structure (not the files just structure) of my user account including, documents, desktop, library, applications support... then inside that Library you can find application support/evernote/ From here your data seems scattered across some directories but the largest is this... /Users/tomn/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/Application Support/Evernote/resource-cache Although there's some other directories where I can actually see some note attachments and the notes themeselves. Some are new and some are old. It's possible those are notes with attachments that are shared with another user (my wife). Some were new notes and some were old. Those you can actually see and open the file attachment (eg. a PDF...) whereas that directory above has all of the notes with attachments encrypted. (you can't see note name, content...) but it was 9GB so assume this is where a majority of my data is located. I suspect which version of Evernote you started with and migrated versions over the years ends up placing your EN data in different places and not simply in user/library/application support. Also, if you used the macos migration assistant over the years and not start from scratch and install EN... you would get different results.
  3. Slightly off topic but related. Bought a new MBP M1 Max for my wife (work computer). No migration assistant but fresh install of apps including EN. She has thousands of notes and attachments. Worked fine and somewhat snappy for the first day or two but now having trouble waking/signing in in the morning where the mac seems to freeze and EN unresponsive and taking up tons of CPU. I'm new to EN and how it's structured. With a fresh install of EN and logging in, does it copy down every note... to populate a local database or only when a note is accessed? If it does replicate a local database, will it continue to do this while the mac is in sleep mode? I guess what I'm getting at is if EN being unresponsive as well as sluggish be the non-native M1 issue or a combo of that as well as it continuing to try to replicate the database? Would a better approach have been to try to manually migrate the database from the old mac to new?
  4. I'm not sure if it's every time there's an update, but using the Mac version as well as iOS, my notes won't load. Just a spinner. If I log in via the site, they load. What's up?
  5. With the new ios version, I created a note with a image I took with the camera (using evernote to take the image) but then needed to move it from my personal notebook to a shared notebook I have with my wife (I think she created this notebook). Now when the list of notebooks comes up, the shared notebooks have a lock icon next to them so that I can't select them. However if I first open the shared notebook I can add a new note to that notebook. It's something to do with moving a note from personal to a shared notebook.
