jim.g that worked...thanks!. Should have thought of that myself. Looks like a bug as should install into Notifications regardless. However, for others having the badge notification issue, this may be the workaround. Cheers.

That's great! I agree that it should auto-add notifications in Settings regardless of how you answer the push notifications question. Otherwise, like in your case, there is no way to turn off the badge app icon nor, and this may be worse, any way to ever turn on notifications without reinstalling the app. I've never seen an app do this. I hope they fix this soon.

Unfortunately, I don't see what you see and am unable to do that.

I was afraid that was going to be your answer. If may be that you've got to answer yes on push notifications in order for notification settings to appear. That's the only thing I can think of. Do you have the patience to do another reinstall to find out?

Had said "no" to push notifications when it first launched.

As per my initial post "I've deleted and reinstalled the app a few times but no change"

In Settings, when you scroll down into the settings by app section, do you see Evernote there? If so, you can tap on Notifications and toggle Allow Notifications to off. Or, if you just want to prevent the red reminder-count badge from showing on the Evernote icon, then just toggle Badge App Icon to off. That way you can still get reminder notifications (with sounds if you want) but no more red circles.

Unless I'm missing something (which is highly likely), I have to click the little clock icon twice in order to bring up the "Mark as done" option in the Reminders menu. That's annoying when I'm going through a well of completed articles I need to mark as such. Being able to batch-process the status of articles would be REALLY awesome, but I'd be happy at this point to just eliminate the second click, which ALSO brings up the one option that appears on the first click: Add a date. This first popup is a complete waste of time, but I can't find anything in the prefs where I can disable it.

Since this thread has been revived, I wanted to address this. The first click on the clock icon activates the reminder (note that the clock turns blue). If you don't select Add a Date at this point, then the note is added to the bottom of your reminder list without a date. The purpose of the second prompt is to allow you to deal with the reminder when the due date/time is reached. So the second Add a Date is there in case you want to push the due date/time on out.

It's ridiculous that there are so many fundamental design differences on Mac and Windows. And, ironic that it's an option on this web editor but not the Mac App. Do Windows users need to strikethough more than Mac users?

This was posted in other thread regarding a similar feature never added, Find and Replace. Maybe some resolution to these issues is on the horizon.

I have just replaced ed my older MacBook Pro with a 2016 MacBook Pro.  Both are running OSSierra and the same version of Evernote and Preview.

With my older MacBook Pro I could save a copy of a PDF opened in Preview to Evernote my going to the "share" icon in the document bar where the choices were

    Mail

    Messages

    AirDrop

    Notes

    Evernote

With my new laptop Evernote is missing from those choices and I haven't been able to work out how to again have Evernote as an option.  Can anyone help?

    Many thanks

Evernote is no longer displaying on my share sheet either, not only in Preview but in other apps as well. This is probably due to recent macOS updates. You can still accomplish the same thing by going under Preview>Services>Add to Evernote.

I'm very addicted to using the touchpad as much as possible. I don't like clicking through menus, but that's what I've done for a very long time. But I've finally realized that I must start using keyboard shortcuts more. Here's a link to the Evernote shortcuts that I now refer to: EN Mac keyboard shortcuts.
