  1. So, with all the seemingly every other day updates, I’m having pblms with the sorting of tags. Let’s say I have a tag, “positions current” which pulls up my portfolio notes, one position to a note. I’ve always used settings to sort by title A-Z. Select it once and never think about it again. Now, with the fully updated software, every time I bring up that tag, it sorts by relevance, I.e. the last note I searched is on top followed by the rest of the notes with the tag. I have to go to the settings again and re-sort the tag group. A nuisance. Anybody have any ideas? Thank you Tom
  2. s2 thanks again for your response. We did exactly that yesterday, cutting the increase in half. I'm still feeling hijacked and of course worried about what happens next, but I can't spend any more time on this. Just have to eat it.

  4. I’m with you Gary. I spent all day looking at other options, and with multiple notebooks and over 1400 notes, my time to migrate means probably 2 weeks of work, tedious work. I guess they just don’t care or understand that now, everytime Evernote comes up in the film and television production community where I’ve worked for thirty years, I’ll be completely negative, and warn everybody off. If you find an alternative situation, please let me know.
  5. It’s a shame that the company that owns them is now in Milan, because had they been an American company I would’ve been making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the CFTC. I have hundreds of hours setting up my database, not to mention the work in managing it over the years. No excuse for 160% increase x 2 accounts. I feel hijacked.

  8. Thomas Brandau Kandis Krell We are outraged at the price increase you are demanding. My wife and I have both been paying you $49.99 per year and now we get an increase to $129.96 each??? A 160% increase per account. We use your app everyday and I have literally hundreds of hours setting up our databases. Our address books, financials, and trading data is all on Evernote. Migrating away means I have to cut and paste over 1000 records to another service. We are now both retired now and this increase is unreasonable. We need a little help and understanding from you.   9. I'd like to thank everyone for their suggestions however I still don't have a solution to the problem. I'm on a desktop Mac Mini OS version 13.5.2 I'm told by Mac that it is the latest version for my device Evernote, when looking for an upgrade is telling me that ver. 10.59.5 is the latest available. Beyond this I'm not sure what to do. Legacy forum? I don't know anything about that either. When I go to the Evernote help page, this is where I'm directed

  12. When I search for a record I get the overlay that says "you don't have permissions for Tb Master database" (which is my master database) I close the notification and on the second try, it acts correctly. What is this?

  14. Ok guys, For a top shelf relational database, which Evernote is, I'm actually shocked at the issues I've faced in the last couple of weeks. The duplicates, yes, and the black screen, and things disappearing. Now, I selected Evernote after trying several other sites. I put in an initial 3 weeks to input all my data, get my wife on-board and input her stuff etc. I've made a serious commitment to use Evernote, and I hope these posts are being monitored, because 2 subscriptions are not insignificant. The argument made on behalf of E*N doesn't really fly. I have 5 devices in the MacOS and iOS worlds, and Notes just never has any problem. Multiple devices all on at the same time, syncing and updating. Now to be fair, the notes app from a code point of view is not nearly as complicated, but the little AAPL app does scan and import photos and .pdf's and I don't have to worry about duplicates, or things going missing. At this point, I really have to type or import really important data into notes or text edit, copy to Evernote, and hold both until I'm sure Evernote has it. I'm very disappointed, and I also hope, whomever works the platform addresses these issues, I know dealing with AAPL updates etc. is a chore, but I am paying almost $70/yr to use E*N.
  15. So, for the first time this morning on my iPhone I had no other devices active except the phone, I added some items to my Shopping list and it duplicated the note. I looked at both, and deleted the older one, and when I hit the back arrow, just like Steve it went to a black screen and I had to quit it. When I relaunched my original shopping list was there, but everything I just added was gone.
  16. Dear Pink Elephant, I appreciate your “that’s how sync works”. You may be right, but I use Apple Notes on my Mac mini, MacBook Pro, IPad and iPhone. All are open most of the time. No duplicates or issues, everything syncs immediately, and of course I direct you to Steve’s post. I have put in this issue to feedback in the E*N app
  17. OK, I understand your idea of not opening the same note on more than one device. There is logic to that, but it should be addressed and fixed. I can leave my desk and say, go to lunch and need to access a note. This should not be an issue. That said, thank you for your quick reply, and I will try to avoid that. I'll also use the link you provided and see how that goes.
  18. What is going on with Evernote? It used to work perfectly. I made a commitment to your platform, transferred all my data and now I have problems that have started recently. I'm using the app not a browser on my MacOS devices, have the mobile app on my iPhone and iPad and recently on the iOS devices, E*N will repeatedly lock up and have to be rebooted, losing everything I just added to the note I was working on. Now in MacOS, as well as iOS, it makes duplicates, sometimes 3 or 4 of the same note. Mostly they are identical but not always, and it forces me to open each one up and check. This is frustrating and a waste of time. I've edited a note, then it locks up and when I re-open, everything I just input is gone, forcing me to write in text edit and then cut and paste into the note to insure that what I just worked on is saved. I've spent considerable time inputting a new note, with contact data phone numbers addresses etc., then when I go to attach tags, it freezes up and I lose everything. This is unacceptable for a real professional database. There used to be a help tab in the sidebar, now that's gone too......What is going on? ... I am not a casual user. Like I said at the top, E*N used to work perfectly. I update always, on the MacBook Pro running 10.15.7 it's v10.47.47, on the iPad and iPhone who knows? The widget in iOS simply doesn't work. I put it on both iOS devices hoping to get E*N to launch quickly, and it totally screwed everything up when I launched the regular pgm.

  20. I use tags for all my notes and I have the most used tags in the shortcuts menu. Now with 10.23 when I select a shortcut at the top of the notes list there is a filters window? or list which I have to cancel to see my full list. This is very annoying and of course falls into the "don't fix it if it works perfectly" category. When I click on my tag in the shortcuts menu, it brings up all the notes with that tag..... perfect, now not so. Is there any way to defeat this filters list???
