  1. I followed the guide on the EN website about problems with sync in the new EN for Windows & I didn't figure out why my EN for Windows isn't syncing. EN for web is up to date. There was something about turning off 'offline mode' in Internet Explorer, but I don't have IE. Windows 11 (which I updated to about 5 weeks ago) doesn't include Internet Explorer. Is that the problem - that Windows 11 doesn't have IE, so Evernote can't sync? I really miss the sync button.🙁

  2. Have the developers said anything about this requested feature recently? I often use tables to organize my information, and I frequently work on my Android phone and will soon have a tablet. This is an important feature, and it should be consistent between desktop and mobile clients. Evernote developers, please add tables to the mobile client. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  3. Thanks! This time around I got the latest EN for Windows version from a kind person on Reddit. The URL had 'cdn' in it, which I hadn't seen before. In the future, where do I go on the EN site to get the latest versions of EN for Windows? And is there a way to get updates from EN when the latest version is available? With Android it's easy because I get an automatic update. But it seems that with EN for Windows, I have to proactively monitor the EN site to find out when the latest version gets released. Thanks in advance for any guidance you may have about these things. 😊

  4. Hi again. I posted this on Reddit's EN sub as well, and a kind soul sent me the link to the next version of EN for Windows, available from EN instead of from the Windows store. And it works like a charm, so the new version (6.20.2.8626) has solved my problem. Phew! I wonder why Microsoft doesn't have this latest version in the Windows store. Odd.

  5. Hi all. I have Windows 10 Pro version 1803 and Evernote for Windows version 6.19.8555.0. Until a few days ago my Evernote for Windows was working fine. Now it keeps crashing and then I can't restart it. I have already uninstalled it and then re-installed it, and it didn't make a difference. After a reinstall it starts up once, but then soon crashes, and I need to uninstall it, and then re-install it, again.

I reviewed another thread in this forum and someone suggested downloading EN for WIndows from the EN site. But when I go to the EN site to download EN for Windows, they redirect to the Windows store. It doesn't seem like there's a way for me to download EN for Windows without getting it from the Windows store.

Has anyone else had trouble with this latest version for Windows -- version 6.19.8555.0?

As the problem suddenly stared I'm assuming it is related to the latest Evernote update, so is there a way to revert to the previous version I wonder?

Thanks Stewart, good idea. I looked at the version history and the version dated 10:48pm Sun. had no photos in it, only text. So that means that even though I was able to see photos in the note at that time, they were never saved to the server. Only the text was. Ugh. I will be extra careful with backing up photos immediately that I add to Evernote notes with my Android phone. I shouldn't have to do that, though. I'm assuming all this weirdness, and especially how slow the Android app is right now, is due to the new app version, 8.10.

It's possible that Android would take some time to download a number of images - notes are always downloaded from the server to mobile devices,  not stored locally.  Check your pictures are still available by signing into Evernote.com on a desktop and viewing the server copy of that note.  Please let us know how you get on with Support.

Thanks gazumped. Yes, I went to the web version of Evernote & the photos were missing from the note there, too. And a few hours earlier those photos were in the note, at least that's how it appeared on my Android phone. Maybe the crash I noticed early this morning had actually begun many hours earlier on Sun. afternoon & maybe that's why those photos weren't saved to the servers...? I don't think I've ever seen Evernote for Android crash like that....syncing forever... couldn't open notes. And even though restarting my phone helped a little, the app is still super slow and it takes several minutes for each note to open. I lost a good amount of sleep trying to figure this out this morning. It isn't right for Evernote to release a buggy version on Google Play...which wastes our time and energy. I wish I hadn't invested so many notes in Evernote... because then it would be easier for me to switch over to another app. Thanks again for your help! 😊

  8. I'm using Evernote Android 8.10 on a OnePlus 6T, Android 9, with 8 GB of RAM. My home internet connection works fine on all my devices.

Evernote Android is super slow, and this evening it got 'stuck' in sync mode for about an hour, and lost all the photos from one of my recent notes. They disappeared.

I restarted my phone and Evernote Android is working better, not crashing or stuck in  sync, but it's very, very slow. Slow to open every single note. Slow to do everything.

Why did the crash erase those photos? Earlier in the evening those photos were still in the note. I sent a support ticket.

I have too many notes in Evernote to switch to another app. I hope they fix these issues asap. I'm really frustrated. 🤬

  9. Hello all. This is a new problem for me. Maybe the latest version of Chrome (which I have, I double-checked) doesn't permit EN web clipping of YouTube videos? I've tried multiple times and I can't get it to work. I closed and relaunched Chrome twice. I also refreshed the YouTube page several times, and each time the YouTube clip didn't happen. It looks like there's something blocking the clipping, because the web clipper dialogue box that I get every time I clip non-YouTube pages doesn't appear for YouTube pages. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this one!
