  1. The number of notes didn't change, and my zoom level didn't change, it's just bigger spacing between notes on the notes list. It's a purposeful UX design change by Evernote, and it's...frankly, objectively wrong. I noticed this on all three desktop computers I use Evernote on. My entire issue here is the waste of extra space (and removing alternate row highlighting) with this new version.

  2. I just sent this to feedback@evernote.com, posting here as well.

PLEASE do not let the new changes to the notes view stand. You are now wasting a bunch of extra space for no reason whatsoever with larger mandatory buffers between the notes in the side list view. Here’s 15 notes on the version before 10.76.2, and on 10.76.2, what in the world is the reason for this? Two of my notebooks have more than 100 notes, and several others have 40-60, all you’re doing is making people scroll more for no benefit whatsoever. Also, why did you remove alternate row shading?

I’m not against the new “material-style” theming, but for crying out loud, don’t just waste large numbers of pixels; this is a productivity app, not visual content for marketers to only exist to look good in advertising with.

„User communication“ is not the first thing that crosses my mind when thinking about EN.

This told, productive Workflows should NEVER be based on pre-release, beta software. I usually even wait with mission critical workflows until an official update is established as working and without side effects.

Since this thread is about calendar integration, you can maybe save your workflow for now by linking Outlook to Google, Google to EN.

Lecture harder. He was testing a beta feature and it's pretty unusual for any company to remove it before putting it into production, unless they've decided that they are not going to roll it out into production, period; in which case that needs to be communicated before removing beta access to said feature. By your overly strict and "technically true" in general terms statement, no users outside the company developing a piece of software would ever test anything.

@RolandDeschain These forums are primarily user-to-user support so your appeal is likely falling on the wrong ears. This isn't a very common issue that I see reported.  This thread arose as a result of a system problem which was resolved in November in a rather earlier version of Evernote v10.

Have you tried a complete removal and reinstall of the software? That might provide a solution. Be sure to delete the data directory as well. Then the reinstalled program will rebuild your data from scratch. You say it is on all of your Windows PCs.  When you say 'random' notebooks do you mean that it is not predictable and it could arise with one notebook today and then tomorrow it will be OK and affecting a different notebook.  Or do you mean that  the issue affects some notebooks but not others?

As a Premium user you could raise a support ticket which will probably get you a speedier answer. But EN support is closed for Christmas/New Year until, I think, 4 January.

You could probably most usefully revert to the legacy application to avoid the frustration until the problem has been resolved.

Correct. This does not fix the issue, though it did result in some different notebooks having this happen immediately afterwards; but it's still random.

Since Evernote staff still seems to not be aware of the problem 😉 😉 (I opened one ticket and pointed here, so they should):

    WORKAROUND/FIX (source😞

The problem seems to get fixed if I delete Evernote's AppData folder (thus losing all notes not on Evernote Web)

Same as I just mentioned above in this reply, all this accomplished was changing which notebooks have the reload problem happen on. However, it still changes on a nearly daily basis on its own, anyways. This really needs to get a proper and verified fix by the developers implemented. If any devs see this, feel free to contact me, I am happy to assist in testing or sending logs, etc...I'll probably open a support case when I can as well.
