    Hi @junyee2, I agree it is (always) a bit of a search to get to their 'truly get help' section. (I'm assuming it's a natural selection feature. 😉)
    Unfortunately my computer will not allow me to try to find the English bit. Does the link provided by @gazumped help?

    As @PinkElephant points outcheck your account and the amount of devices you're allowed to use.

    As for the login-issue, check my post of November 5th, 2021.

    Personally I'm in the proces of switching to OneNote. Not perfect either (and no perfect way to export/import) but more options a.o. regarding hierarchy. And of course the fact that you don't have to revert to dinosaur-age versioins. 😉

    I repeated your steps with support, they replied the same to me about 48 hours, and I was finally able to log in!

    Now I'm enjoying the old good 8.13.3 app, which is fast, responsive, offline notes synchronization takes minutes and not ages, the main screen is just a list of notes with proper font and proper small space between notes.

    Always nice to be able to be of some help.

    And I TOTALLY agree with your remarks about the older version. What also turned me off of the newer version is the crosses in the checkboxes, the auto-listing with the checkboxes and the apparent disappearance of the checkbox in the edit-tab. 🙂
    In case Evernote wonders why the lot of us is still using the old version. 😉

  4. I contacted Evernote (https://help.evernote.com/hc/nl/requests/new).


    At first they tell you you can't downgrade (and shouldn't need to because their new version is só great 😉).

    After letting them know I had done so in the past (using the older apk), they wrote me back saying:

    "Can you please provide your IP address and User Agent info so our Team can take a further look into this. Use these steps below to gather your IP address and user agent.

    Get your IP address using Google

    1.    Search "what is my IP" on Google or click here: What is my IP?

    2.    Copy the IP address shown in the box above the search results.

    3.    Paste it in the reply to this email.

    Get your user agent using Google

    1.    Search “what is my user agent” on Google or click here: What is my user agent?

    2.    Copy the user agent information shown in the box above the search results.

    3.    Paste it in the reply to this email."

     

    I did and they responded:

    "Thanks for your patience while we investigated this login issue. We are working on a fix now and you should be able to login within 48 hours.

    Please let me know if you're still unable to login after 48 hours has passed."

     

    And within 24hrs I could login again!

    I'm sorry I took my time replying to you. It being summer (holidays) and bloody hot here (in the Netherlands) should not be an excuse. :-)

    Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post.

    I've since communicated with Evernote on several subjects, including this one.
    And you're right, I should have been more clear on my circumstances and I did end up making a video.
    (Since it was on my tablet I wasn't aware at the time of a capturing app. Evernote gave me a tip: AZ Screen Recorder.) 

    I attached all the exchanged info here:

    My tablet uses Android 7.0
    The (Evenrnote-)app is version 8.11.
    I’ve installed the app (AZ Screen Recorder) and the result-movie you can find here: https://youtu.be/xH7pusu6Uec.
    To explain what I did:
    1. I select the text to cut-paste.
    2. I ‘walk’ to the space where it should be inserted.
    3. I ‘click’ and hold with my finger but it won’t select the correct ‘location’ until I add a new line (via Enter) and I delete the checkbox.
    Only then I can paste correctly.
     

    Evenote's reply was:

    First, you cut the "Checkbox 3" with checkbox included, and trying to paste it below "Checkbox 2". When pasting texts with checkbox after another text with existing checkbox, the clipboard disregards the copied checkbox and pastes only the text. For this, you need to put the cursor on the end of "Checkbox 2" and hit enter. When you paste "Checkbox 3", the checkbox will not be included.
    However, if you paste it in a new line, for example, hitting "Enter" twice or thrice after "Checkbox 5", the checkbox will be included once pasted.
    The cursor also behaves as expected since checkbox, and texts have different formatting in Android app.

    So there you have it. :-)

  7. Hi,

    I work a lot (and I mean A Lot) wit todo-lists (checkboxes). It's my favorite feature in Evernote! :-)

    What I would realy like is being able to quickly cut/paste an item to place it somewhere else. And this doesn't work on my Android phone/tablet when ín a list.

    I have to first delete the checkbox it (automatically puts on the new line) to be able to paste my cut item.

    I'm not sure if I'm clear enough; i hope so.

    No, definitely not just you. :wacko: I'm hoping for a feature where you can see/adjust that.

    As well as paragraphmarkers 'cause sometimes things fly all over the place and I don't know why.
