The workaround works for me on MacOS Monterey, Evernote 10.33.4. In addition to the mouse-clicking way I have found that option+backspace also works! Much faster when deleting all the lines when placing plots into cells of a table. Yet, the whole thing IS annoying.

I am experiencing the same issue now. OS X 10.10.5, Evernote 6.12.3. It worked for me a couple months ago, as far as I can remember. I can't tell with which version it stopped working. Has anyone else experienced this recently?
