  1. Issues with the Sandbox emails should now be resolved. Sandbox was one of the final systems to be migrated to Google Cloud and we had some issues with mail config. Please let us know if you are still seeing issues. Regarding the production service, there are no known email issues currently. As @gazumped pointed out if you are having issues don't hesitate to contact us, either (https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new) or (https://twitter.com/evernotehelps) Thanks Ben
  2. Hi Mark Thanks for the notification, we will take a look. Regards Ben
  3. Back in September, we announced that Evernote would be migrating to a modern, cloud infrastructure. We lost no time in getting started. Just one month after the announcement, we were already moving data to the Google Cloud Platform. We’re excited to announce that Evernote has successfully migrated our service to the cloud, and accomplished this with minimal impact on our customers. Read more in our blog posts and join us on this thread for questions. https://blog.evernote.com/blog/2017/02/08/evernote-reaches-the-cloud https://blog.evernote.com/tech/2017/02/08/part-1-eve
  4. All We have just rolled out a fix that should improve the situation for most users over the next 24 hours. Being transparent due to the nature of this issue we are unable to fully test from impacted locations but we are confident this will significantly improve the situation. Ben
  5. I wanted to give an interim update on the situation. We have identified where and why the block is happening and we are now looking into the options to resolve this. Nothing concrete yet but we have a number of teams trying to fix this. This was not intentional or expected, it's always frustrating when we are unable to serve our users and help them stay organized. We will update everyone when we have more information. Ben
  6. Of course, we are aware of the situation and investigating exactly what exactly going on. We will update this thread once we have more details. Ben
  7. Yes 99%, we are just finalizing the move of some services that are not customer impacting. Ben
  8. The maintenance release went very well this evening. Total time the service was down = 16 minutes. Only Friday and Monday to go now. Regards Ben
  9. All We wanted to provide you an update on our cloud migration. Progress has been good, we are now running over 60% of the Evernote service from our new home. The downtime experienced by customers has averaged 20 minutes vs our original expectation of 30 minutes. There are two changes we will be making to our schedule This evening (12/15) at 21:00 PST we will need to perform a restart of the service in order to deploy a patch fix. There will be a period of 20 minutes when the Evernote service is unavailable. We will continue the migrations this Friday and will be
  10. We've spent the day listening to our users and understanding their concerns with upcoming changes to our privacy policy. Please see the clarifications from our CEO Chris O'Neill. A Note From Chris O’Neill about Evernote’s Privacy Policy The Evernote Team
  11. MRJ - We fully understand and respect this view, we have an Opt Out that if selected means nothing changes. Hope this calms the concern?
  12. To be very clear on this point, we are not in or going to be in the business of selling marketing data. Our future use of Machine Learning technologies is only to deliver improved features to our users.
  13. We respect there are users who will feel this way and hope we have given them an option to continue to use the service by way of the opt out.
  14. Just a reminder that our work to migrate the Evernote service to Google Cloud continues Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 09:00 to 21:00 PST. You may notice sync errors during the expected 30 min window in which your specific shard is being migrated. We will update this thread if this plan changes. regards Ben
  15. To access, you need to come via the web client. Go to www.evernote.com and login from there. Ben
  16. I have just double checked on my personal Evernote account and the check box setting is available now to deselect if you wish. Ben
  17. All We appreciate the feedback and discussion regarding our recent changes to the Evernote privacy policy, and we wanted to expand and provide clarification on the topics raised. Let's start with the most important point: Evernote fully respects your privacy. We know (because you’ve told us) that some of you store highly personal information in Evernote. We want to continue to offer you a place to store this information. A number of you have expressed a concern that as a result of our upcoming Privacy Policy change, Evernote employees will be actively reading

  19. This was one of the conditions we tested before starting the migration and there was no blocking of our service or synchronization errors. If you have issues please reach out. Regards Ben

  21. There were no application updates made as part of our cloud migration.
  22. I think you would have been. We have reviewed all of the logs and around 2.5% of our users would have been impacted, I hope it was not too painful for you. Ben
  23. All Our maintenance today was successful but we did experience a number of periodic sync errors for a small number of our users that have now all been resolved. Our Operations and Engineering team are going to continue to monitor the service closely over the next 24 hours. Regarding the timing of our maintenance windows, unfortunately as we run a global service there are no windows when the service is not used. Today we were trying to prevent running into the start of the Asia Pacific business day. We also recognize there are improvements that we need to make to ensure maintenan
  24. Hi We wanted to let you know that one of the final verification checks for today’s maintenance took longer than planned and as a result we be starting the maintenance at 11:00 PST. We appreciate your patience. Regards Ben
