  1. I also observed that it is also unable to open automatically a large PDF file (e.g., 25 MB) on my Mac. I love the new GUI and some of the new features are really nifty but I didn't expect these updates... One the new features in the upcoming version is "Search and switch to a different note using a keyboard shortcut". Perhaps they have addressed this.
  2. Hi, I am using Evernote 10.13.4 (2607) on Mac OS Catalina and have been using Evernote for close to a decade now. My questions are two and are related: - 1) How to have "View As" - "All Pages" set as the default view when searching for items (it looks that "Single Page" is the default one) - 2) How to have the first search result get automatically highlighted (talking about let's say a 50-page PDF), without requiring me to open again and separately the PDF and redo the search over there (the first search result is automatically highlighted when the PDF is for example one page long; it also looks that the cursor or the page is not automatically scrolled on the document to show the first match) Both of these features were available in older versions of Evernote. I think if 1) is solved potentially addressing 2) is easier. Best regards.
  3. Before installing a past release of Evernote, I have removed it completely from my computer (otherwise you get "data was being being managed with a later version"). I have done this through AppCleaner. This also removes the Evernote database. Then, provided your notebooks are synced (not local) then these are automatically restored from Evernote servers. Potentially, you also need to rebuild the search indexes (easy to do from the Troubleshooting menu). I guess I will stay with 6.11 for a while on Mac. Then, will update it once this bug is fixed (which is a bit annoying...).
  4. Since I needed a fix urgently I reverted to a past version of Evernote on my Mac. Now, I am back on Version 6.11 and everything works great here.
  5. Hi, I am using Evernote 7.6 (Editor 59.0.7031) on macOS High Sierra (version 10.13.4). While the search results are being highlighted successfully, it looks that when scrolling (doesn't matter which direction) the PDF the highlighted results (indicated correctly) begin to move as well. It would be appreciated if this can be fixed so the highlighted items are anchored to the text and not floating. Attached is an example when searching for the word "attack tree" and scrolling the PDF from Evernote. Best, Joseph
  6. Hi, I just wanted to check with you whether it is possible in Evernote Premium to open PDF files with another PDF editor instead of the default one. For instance, it would be cool to have it open notes with Papers3 or maybe Skim. Thanks & Regards, J
  7. Great! I am using the Premium but I think there is a still a limit when it comes to the maximum file size that can be searched and displayed. Also, DTLow since you say there is a bug, and I agree, is it possible to uninstall an update, especially the latest update? Another idea, could be to install another Evernote, possibly backdated, but I don't think that is possible.
  8. Hi, I am curious whether there is an arcane way to set Evernote to search a large PDF file? I read somewhere that while Evernote will search the file it and note matches it will not automatically preview the file displaying where the keywords are found automatically. Regards, Joseph
  9. Hello, I am have upgraded to OS X El Capitan (10.11.6) and running Evernote 6.9.2. Unfortunately, the search functionality while managing to find the notes with success is not opening up the documents automatically to show where the keywords are located. Before the upgrade it was working fine. Now, I have to open each document and re-trigger the search to find the matches. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this if possible? Thank you in advance. Joseph
