  1. {10/22/19 @ 20:25 EDT} Don Dz, Thanks for the comment but I am talking about File-->Print to PDF and File-->Print Preview. You should try to change the page size yourself, then you will understand. Why have an extensive drop-down list of page sizes in File--> Page Setup that have no functional significance? I would not pay for a PLUS subscription for Evernote. I could spend hours of my time every week just describing errors that I have discovered in Evernote. I will probably be a BASIC (free) user far into the future. I am getting what I am paying for--the question is: are PLUS subscribers?
  2. Please explain how File-->Page Setup functions. My attempts to change the Paper Size to 'Half Letter' or '4 x 6 in' result in File -->Print Preview paper sizes of 8-1/2 x 11 only, although Orientation functions. User-Defined paper size is non-functional. Why have the long drop-down list of available sizes that cannot change the paper size? It looks good until you try it.

  4. Dave-in-Decatur RavBoy Thanks for the solution to my problem. My other apps use the Page Setup to set the margins, but since Evernote uses the Options Menu, I did not check for Page Setup. Does it seem odd to have to check in more than one menu to configure the app for printing?
  5. [10/14/19 @ 15:34 EST} Tools>Options>Notes or Tools>Options>Printing do not allow me to adjust the margins which are set by default to 1-1/2" which is a great waste of paper. Can the Evernote Team help to eliminate this useless waste of paper when printing Notes?
  6. jefito, I appreciate your comments. Thanks for the upvote. Happy Editing!
  7. {05/21/19 @ 11:42 EDT} Thanks for your response. The subject editing functionality was included in past versions of Evernote. I consider its removal a coding error--a Bug. How many millions around the world use Microsoft applications. Microsoft's editing functionality could be considered to be a 'Standard' based on the numbers of its users. Since all of the applications in Microsoft Office Professional use the subject functionality and Microsoft owns Windows 10, the name of this forum, my description of a Bug seems to me to be totally appropriate here. As stated previously, even Evernote's 'Search the Community' forum Search Box uses this 'Standard.' Try it yourself--copy (Ctrl-key) with drag & drop in the Search Box. If you have been an Evernote user for any length of time, you would know that past revisions have mistakenly deleted good, solid working code. Eventually, the bugs were realized and fixed. Here, I am reporting a Bug to be fixed.
  8. {05/21/19 @ 08:02 EDT} Evernote's (v6.18.4) drag-and-drop editing does not function for copying (Ctrl-key) versus moving (Shift-key). It always only moves the dragged item no matter which keys are depressed. The plus sign on the copy icon appears when pressing the Ctrl-key, but the item dragged is always just moved and never copied. One must use the very inconvenient method of Ctrl-C to copy then Ctrl-V to paste. These were introduced in 1982 with the IBM PC. Most Windows 10 Apps use true drag-and-drop. Why not modernize Evernote's editing tools to employ true drag-and-drop capability? Note: To understand the correct functioning of Drag & Drop editing, just use Microsoft's WordPad word processor. It functions properly as intended. Even the Search Box in Evernote's 'Search the Community' forum functions properly but not Evernote v6.18.4. Why? Can this be fixed?
  9. EdH, Thanks for taking the time to respond to my issue. I do not have Microsoft Outlook 365. I am using Outlook Email Client @ Outlook.com - Microsoft free personal email. The two are different. Do you have an Outlook.live/mail account? If you do, then you will encounter this bug too.
  10. Able to drag and copy text from Evernote to Microsoft Applications, Word and WordPad, but not to Microsoft Outlook Email. Able to drag and copy text from Outlook Email to Evernote, but all the copied text is underlined. This is a bug in release 6.16.4.8094. Can you fix it? Evernote 6.16.4.8094 Problem--Copying Text by Dragging into Outlook Email
  11. Moving and Copying Text in Documents Select the text that you want to move or copy. Do one of the following: To move the selected text, drag the text to a different location in the document and release. While you drag, the mouse pointer changes to include a gray box. {Graphic not displayed (see attachment)} To copy the selected text, hold down Ctrl while you drag. The mouse pointer changes to include a plus sign (+). {Graphic not displayed (see attachment)} Microsoft applications, Word, WordPad, etc., support copying while dragging text as described above. Evernote does not allow copying while dragging text, however, it does allow moving the text. This is a bug in release 6.16.4.8094. Can you fix it? 12. {01/15/18 @ 15:35 EDT} I have encountered numerous problems with version 6.8.7 that did not exist with the previous version. Do I need to list the problems or do you have debug (before release) as an item on your software development chart? Good: The new print preview is a great addition. Not good: The new 1/2'" margins are not appreciated. Also about 10 newly created bugs with this release. I started a bug list after a few minutes use of the release. How could your debug activity not detect them? Was this version released with the bugs known? Any plans to go back to the last version? When will a "good" release be available? Thanks.
  13. {07/30/17 @ 09:54 EDT} Evernote 6.5.4.4720 (304720) Public Cannot insert a Table into a Bulleted or Numbered List. Cannot select text and drag to copy or move within a Note beyond current window displayed space (does not scroll). Cannot select and drag to copy a text paragraph or word next to itself. Drag & Drop to move a column element in a Table causes the remaining items to shift left into the empty column. The other elements should be static. Incapable of choosing how to view a PDF on a per-Note basis or for each PDF, i.e., as an attachment or inline within each individual Note. Change Note View Options choices. Cannot create a Local Notebook from the pop-up menu from right clicking a Stack. Only a Synchronized Notebook choice is presented. A new Local Notebook can be created only from the top-level File menu then it must be moved to the desired Stack.
  14. 07/14/16 @ 15:22 EDT: Version 6.1.2.2292 (302292) Public Please consider adding/modifying the following features Cannot select text and drag to copy or move within a Note beyond current displayed space (does not scroll). Incapable of choosing how to view a PDF on a per-Note basis, i.e., as an attachment or in-line within each individual Note. Request text formatting be added for superscripts & subscripts for Notes involving math and science. STEM is big these days so why not support it within EV? Example: ke =[O2][H2]/[H2O] vs ke=[O2][H2]/[H2O] {better} Cannot create a Local Notebook from pop-up menu from right clicking a Stack. Only a Synchronized Notebook choice is presented. Why? A new Local Notebook can be created only from the top-level File menu then it must be moved to the desired Stack. OK, thanks for your consideration.
