    How about trying this? Exit Evernote app. It is "Exit", not "Close". (Menu -> File -> Exit Evernote) Open "Run" window. (Win key + R key) Type %appdata% and click "Ok" button. Remove "Evernote" folder. Restart Evernote app.

    I had a similar problem to this one after updating to 10.25. I solved it removing the local data of Evernote. Exit Evernote Application. It is "Exit", not "Close".     I have this problem too. If the main window of Evernote is running in foreground, this app shows high cpu usage. I use 'open note in new window' and minimize the main window of Evernote. But this is only a temporary measure.

    This issue has been reported by many people before. It has gone through several updates, but it still hasn't improved. I was frustrated and disappointed by the result of Evernote. These days I doubt their competence.

    I have experienced the same. I also had a hard time taking notes. I informed through the forum. Then EN asked me to send the log file to DM. I received a reply after sending the log file. EN say "It's likely not going to be available in the next update, but shortly after that."
