I agree! Giving me the option to choose which picture is used is the best option. I did figure out how to vote for this!

Hmmm, interesting, and a little surprising (to me anyway). You'd need to get the skinny from a dev; that's where the old largest-smallest info came from. I think that the ability to select the thumbnail image would be a good feature, though. This should be in a Feedback forum; I'll move it and then vote for it.

Great idea! I didn't realize such an option was possible. Can any user vote for it?
Wouldn't it make more sense for the "snippet" image to be defaulted to the "smallest, smallest" dimension? I get that adding code to allow the user to *choose* the image in the snippet would be a lot of extra work, but seeing a small part of a large photo isn't very helpful when looking down a list of notes.
Could the algorithm use a "sort descending" (choosing the last value) instead of a "sort ascending"? Then I could add a small dimension photo that would turn up in the snippet, while keeping my larger dimension photo's image quality.

I didn’t get so far as to buy a subscription. I dropped Evernote (and went with a competitor) as soon as I figured out I would not be able to select the pic I wanted for a thumbnail. Wonder how many other potential customers have been lost.
