  1. Yes, I do understand this is a users forum. Hence my "futile rant post" acknowledgment. I also understand uninstalling previous versions as standard practice. However, Legacy has a different use case (IMO, or perhaps just my usage and those who actively used Legacy) due to the evolution of the software. Part of what I find unacceptable is that EN silently changed the behavior of the updater by adding an action that eliminates access to a user interface. I hear your point. It seems to only apply to completely new installations (i.e. Legacy without current version), since Legacy / current version dual users would have already had that drive space allocated. I use both, and so Legacy data was not orphaned or obscured, but actively used — as was the space for the current version (unless I misunderstand how Legacy and current version are stored). Removing Legacy without notification only removed the interface that allowed me to access my data.
  2. I've already reinstalled, and thank you for pointing out that there's a link. You're right — effectively, it's not a big problem. That EN decided to silently (I don't recall the installer notifying me that it was removing a program) uninstall Legacy, a separate program, is absolutely a problem. I've read forum responses about why EN is doing it, and I still think how they implemented that decision is completely unacceptable.
  3. Just tried to open Legacy to find that the new installer does indeed uninstall it, and I'm beyond furious. Yes, I use the current version. Yes, I want Legacy on my system as long as it's available. Yes, this is a futile rant post for catharsis.
  4. +1 to this. I've been a Plus subscriber for years and I'm also bombarded with prompts to upgrade — about every other time I add a Word or Excel document to a note. It's **** service, considering I'm a paying customer.
  5. I'm on Windows 7 with EN version below. This issue also occurs on a Windows 10 machine I work with. Both machines are up to date with Windows Update. EN regularly becomes unresponsive for 30 seconds to several minutes at a time. When I look at the Activity Log, the error below corresponds with the unresponsive period. I've searched the forums, but can't find a similar issue or a solution that works for me. I use a HOSTS file to block known malware and advertising IPs, which I thought might be causing the error. However, the error occurs even when I revert to the default Windows-installed HOSTS file. The error also occurs across several different ISPs (i.e. wherever I happen to be with my laptop). Notes sync as expected. The issue persists through several clean installs of both of EN and Windows. [EDIT] The issue has also persisted through several EN versions. Anyone have a guess as to what else might be causing this? 6. Just adding my $.02 that the note margins added for the table UI is a horrible change to accommodate a single feature.
