EN in my virtual machines behaves exactly like in the main OS. My local network works well, I have an XDSL connection and everything runs fine, except EN of course! 🙄

Hi, just an update: I managed to open a support ticket and tech support is kindly investigating my issues. This far they made some manual backend updates and asked me to cleanup client data and reinstall, but nothing helped. In the meanwhile I tried to install EN and log into my account on 2 Virtualbox hosts, one Windows 10 and one MacOS Catalina. Both clean environements where EN was never installed before. Well, they behave badly, just like my main Windows PC!! So here are my guesses: - Issues are related to some kind of fingerprint from my hardware. - Issues must be server-side, since I made those latest tests out of totally clean client environements. Looking forward to some news... 🤷‍♂️

I'm not Free, I'm Plus, so I'm already paying, but just not paying enough. It's a painful shame having to upgrade to a double-priced plan just to report an issue!! 😓

Hi, I'm on Windows 10. As already said I'm an IT tech and I'm very careful about keeping my system clean and well operating. This EN issue happened straight after 10.42.7 update, everything was running pretty fine until then. I made way too many uninstall and reinstalls, troubleshooting and cross-checks, the only remaining step is format and fully reinstall my PC, but I'm NOT doing it since EN is the only damn piece of software that's giving me so much struggle! 😠 Everything else is working fine. Just tried a new ultra-clean install of 10.43.7, downloaded from EN website: nothing changed! For a few minutes it syncs well, then it stops and further edits from this Windows client are not synced. I'll keep digging for the best notetaking alternative to this shameless disaster.

Opening a support ticket is for Personal, Pro or Teams subscribers only, I guess. I'm a Plus user, or more likely a "Less" user, and I don't feel like upgrading just to request a bugfix. 🙄 As stated before, I already made lots of deep and clean uninstalls, with no luck. I have another Windows client that is still 10.39.6 (I'm of course skipping the update) and syncs well, so I don't think there's much more to say. 🤷‍♂️ I'll stay with Web version until further updates, and I'll stay with EN since I have too much data stored to perform any migration to another platform, but I'll NEVER advice EN to someone else again! It's simply shameful. 😑

Nope, same issues persists to me. Did another fresh reinstall and login on my Windows client, sync works fine for some minutes (checked with Web and Android clients), then suddenly stops and any changes made on Windows doesn't reflect on other devices! 😠 I ran out of words to explain my disappointment about EN... 🙄

Any news about this topic? Anyone tried again the latest Windows client? 😇

Issues very similar to mine! Hope this will be fixed soon. 👍 As a paid user I'm slightly disappointed, though.

Already tried many deep and clean uninstalls and reinstalls. I guess it's a specific bug of this release (10.42.7). My other Windows client, which is syncing well, stll didn't receive the latest update. 🤷‍♂️

Dear Evenrnote, I'm using the app on a regular basis on 4 different devices (2 Windows clients, 1 Mac, 1 Android), but since 10.42.7 update I'm facing severe sync issues on one Windows client! It partially syncs, especially if using tasks. Other clients are syncing well, I made many trials and tests checking with Evernote Web as well, but that single Windows client keeps syncing badly! When I edit or create notes on that client, those changes partially reflects on other devices, e.g. a new note is synced, but if it contains tasks they simply not sync. Already tried many times all the basic troubleshooting steps, like: - Logging out and in - Uninstalling and reinstalling the app - Deleting %appdata% folder - Creating a new user account on the same PC - Restarting PC - Revoking client access from my account page I've been an IT technician since 20 years, so please don't bother me with predefined noob-oriented answers like "check your Internet connection". Please work hard on Evernote, since it's getting worse with every update and I really can't stand this! ☹️ Thanks and kind regards.

Today everything seems back to normal, sync works fine. Hope this was just a temporary issue on my account, but I have to say again that I absolutely made NO changes on my devices or configurations! 😉 Have a nice day everyone! 🙂

Ticket submitted. I'm kinda frustrated, so excuse me, but issues started with no apparent reason: no system updates, no EN client updates, no settings change, nothing at all! So I guess it's a sort of server-side problem, maybe related to few accounts (or maybe only mine!! 😅).

Tried everything, no luck. In the meanwhile I found issues on Android as well! Now if I try to create a new note on the Android app, the check symbol on the top left stays grey and I can't save the note!! 🤦‍♂️ I really can't stand how EN has become buggy, slow and poorly developed and maintained! 😭

Hi, since few days (about a week, I guess) my Windows client no longer syncs modifications made on Android, Mac or Web, unless I close and reopen. In more detail: If I edit/create/delete notes from Windows client, those modifications DO REFLECT on other clients. If I edit/create/delete notes from other clients, those modifications DON'T REFLECT on Windows client, unless I close and reopen it. That's a really bad issue, hope it'll be fixed soon! 🙄 Thanks. I see that somebody may prefer default notebook search, but why Evernote can't have no more switchable preferences??

Hi all, after upgrading Windows client to 10.24.3 I found the new "Smart" search, so when doing a global search, the context is automatically set to the current notebook, then I must click on "Everywhere" (maybe label it's different, I'm using EN in italian) to get a real global search. I DON'T wish to! I'd rather want to have global search by default, and restrict to current notebook as an option. Is it possible? On the other side, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE enable an option to open the main window from the taskbar icon with a SINGLE FREAKING LEFT CLICK! Please... 😭 Thanks!

Same issue here on Mac and Android clients. Not tested on Windows client yet. It's curious that the app totally relies on backend for crucial functions like notes search. 368 MB of app (Mac version) with no local search... 😐

Sorry but I can't contain my disappointment about the new Evernote. The crappiness of this "revolutionary" update goes far beyond any worst expectation! While I'm slowly getting used to the Mac and Windows client, some days ago I updated my Android app, and....got no words to say other than "slow". Slow. SLOW. S-L-O-W!!!!! My phone is not a blazing-fast-brand-new-one, but it's a fair decent Honor 10, which can run almost anything smoothly and nicely. But using the new Evernote looks like playing a modern Tiple-A game on a Pentium 4 nineties PC! About 10 seconds only to have the app open and ready to add a note, unresponsive commands, buggy search (as always), missing pictures and so on. That's a total shame, seems like you wished to add more disasters to this damn 2020! 🤦‍♂️

I agree. Slow, slow and moreover slow! Looks like a notetaking app that works on an Unreal Engine basis. 🤦‍♂️

Just upgraded to v10 on Mac. I know any major update needs time to settle, but I'm quite disappointed about a bunch of topics: - General slowness: ok, I'm using an old 2010 MacBook, but we're talking about TEXT WRITING, not 3D modeling! Evernote has become painfully slow in most operations, opening a new note takes 3-4 seconds! Even basic text writing and deleting is laggy. - No preferences pane, no more customization except some little view option. I simply want the new note to focus on title instead of body, I can't. What the....... - I prefer the old search behaviour, where search results showed directly in the notes column. Don't want to rollback, I'll stay here and wait for some urgent updates! A paid user.
