  1. Mindnode is currently offering outlining capabilities alongside their strong mindmapping. Might be a good complement.
  2. Meant no offense there... call me old-fashioned, but I perceive stacks and notebooks as folder equivalents in their ability to categorize notes. Please don't go ahead and lecture me about the differences, the point of this thread is folding text and outlining, right?
  3. Just want to add my voice to this thread. Since Evernote is having a really shallow folder structure (which I love and hate, depending on what I am doing), folding text would help alleviate the need for more structure and enable oversight in large documents. Please add this feature.
  4. While @gazumped is right, that Evernote is no word processor, I still find it bewildering the everyone left and right is implementing smart formatting and Markdown pretty easily, while making a Heading in EN is a major task. Why? This is the only thing keeping me from completely doing stuff in there except journaling...
  5. Alternatives for us Mac-based Markdown lovers: online and on the Mac would Marxico do the job while MWeb has clients for both. Both also can be interfaces for a proper output of Files into other formats/print AFAIK. That is until Evernote FINALLY enables easy MD-based Markdown in their App. Man, this can't be THAT hard? Dropbox, Bear, DayOne, Notebooks, Quiver all come up with wonderful solutions, only Evernote is not able to do this. The only thing keeping me from doing everything in the app...
  6. the pdf export is fine if you want to simply archive the data. I would be interested in a workflow to generate one note per day entry from the journal. Dayone has several export options: pdf, json, html and text. Does anyone have a suggestion to achieve the above with one of these options?
