Same issue here... (iOS v10.14 and Mac v10.18.3 app) I tried using the 'Copy Internal Link' feature on my iPad and iPhone, and the links do resolve to the local link within the Evernote iOS app. ✅ However, when I open that same note (with the same "Internal links") in my Evernote desktop app (Mac), it opens the links in the web browser instead of within the Evernote desktop app. 😮 Upon review of the links, the internal links created on the iOS device start with 'https:', but creating an internal link in the Evernote Desktop app using the 'Copy App Link' option, the link starts with 'evernote:'. So, it looks like there is a difference in how Evernote mobile (iOS) internal links are created and resolved versus the Evernote Desktop app. 🤔 This issue may have been discussed in a post I have not seen yet, but is Evernote aware of this (I am assuming they are)? If so, is this issue on the 'to fix' list?

DTLow: Just curious, have you tried this process of restoring from a backup version of the local data folder?

Right...would you need to stay offline for either the 'copy and paste' or 'export/import' methods?

Thanks @DTLow, So yes, in a way, you can use a backup of the local EN data folder to restore a file(s), but it would be painstakingly slow to restore a large amount of Notes using the 'copying to a new note' method. Correct? Based on your reply, do you need to stay in offline "mode", restore a note by copying to a new note, and then come back online? If so, once back online and the sync processes occurs, what happens to the remaining notes in the replaced (previous copy) local data folder? Overwritten from the master server of the data based on date/time? Thanks!

In Evernote v10.x (Mac/Windows), there is an Evernote "data" folder stored locally. The location and structure is different from previous versions of EN. You can find that data folder here: Windows: C:/users/<youraccount>/appdata/roaming /evernote Mac: /Users/<youraccount>/Library/Application Support/Evernote On my Mac...The noted data folder size is 18GB. My question is...can that local data folder be used to create an emergency EN data backup that you can restore from? If so, can you just replace the active local data folder with a backup version of that folder? What about restoring a single note...possible? Or, is the data folder just used to cache files and allow for the EN desktop app to run like a web-based app? Anyone try this or have knowledge on whether you can do this? Thanks!

OK... iOS EN business card scanning issues... If you try to edit a scanned business card before saving, the Save and Delete options disappear. If you scan the business card and don't edit, you have the option to Save and Delete. Once saved into a note, there is no way to edit the business card fields. UGHH! Saves to default notebook, no longer can assign to a specific notebook (ex: Business Cards) No saving scanned contact info to device Contacts Migrated business card notes from legacy (previous) app cannot be edited. This really needs to be fixed Evernote Team. I know you are challenged right now, but don't allow broken features in your product.

I second this request. I know note tabs were limited to the Mac desktop legacy version, but it is truly a convenient way to view and manage note workflows. I too relied heavily on note tabs, and without them, Evernote becomes more cumbersome to use. Please consider adding the note tab feature back to the Mac desktop version (it would be great to see this in the Windows version as well.) PS...I have clients that used note tabs in their Evernote workflows as well.
