The Notebook names appear, but there are no notes in them!

I checked for updates and upgraded to 10.51.7 according to a dialog box when finished. Then later restarted Evernote and "About Evernote" shows I have 10.3.7 installed. Re-started again and now get the "There's a new version of Evernote" message. What am I missing?

I have Evernote v 6.25.1 on one computer and it allows me to export notes in .html format, and v 10.3.7 on another computer which only allows .enx export. Two issues/questions: 1. Did the .html export feature get removed? 2. On the computer with v 6.25.1, when I check for updates it says I am using the latest version. What am missing? Thanks!

Do I understand correctly that I can search within a shared notebook via the API, but can't search a user's account for shared notebooks?

It's kind of funny that I started with Evernote to, among other functions, replace sticky notes. Now I need to keep a note pad at my computer to jot down things I want to put into Evernote when I have time since the app takes forever to start and get into the mood to allow text be sluggishly typed into a note.
