  1. Hello, For the Linux users of NixNote out there: is there a way to sync the Shortcuts/Favorites from Evernote? There's a Shortcuts panel in the left of the NixNote screen, but it doesn't show anything, not even showing a dropdown arrow. Has anyone managed to sync your shortcuts to NixNote successfully? I can sync everything except the shortcuts. Thanks in advance.

    2017 Calendar

    Hello smalo, I don't know any calendar with that function that integrates with Evernote, except for the deceased Sunrise (which is now part of the Outlook family). You could try Chronofy (mentioned earlier), but it only creates an external calendar link (like Google Calendar) when you set a Reminder. The calendar template in Evernote doesn't have that integration, it is only text. You could also use Swipes, which integrates with Evernote, but maybe it would be easier to use an app like Google Keep along with Evernote. I wrote about it earlier in this topic: I hope you find it useful!

    Great, thank you all. I'll definitely have folders/subfolders structure in another service and use the Evernote "backup" to store only the important files and documents that I need for quick search (books, projects, personal docs, etc).

    Thank you DTLow. You are right, it sounded like I was going to move whole chunks of files into Notes, and that's not the case. Think of it as a "smart backup". Nothing like a Time Machine or automatic mirroring, but simply the organized storage of files in a categorized way (thus, Evernote). Only important stuff, reference files, books and every material that I'd like to see in a organized manner.

    Hello GrumpyMonkey, Thanks for your reply. My problem is just the need for a safe and searchable cloud, to avoid keeping important files, personal or work related, in my hard drive or pendrive (I had a recent bad experience with the sudden death of my flash drive). What I mean by mirroring is to name the Notes with Folder names from my hard drive, and upload files to them. So there would be a copy of those folders in Evernote, even if they do not resemble the same structure (I mean specifically to store important personal documents from work and students - I work with education -, some tests scans, projects, articles and PDF books (a lot), for example. I would like to transfer to Evernote and categorize large collections of PDF books in order to be able to search them easily in the future, making it easier to find some topics related to a certain research. That's about 10 to 15gb, at the most. I'm aware of the limits and I don't mind doing it gradually. I have more than 100gb in pictures, but I believe Flickr could do the trick here. The Index Note could help in organizing the same structure of the hard drive. Some files and folders that need a little more of the hierarchical folder/file structure, I would put them in Drive.   6. Greetings everyone, I'm seriously in need of a cloud backup storage and as Premium Evernote user, I was planning to use it as a main hub for keeping and organizing my general files. I'm not willing to pay for another service (I have a 100gb Drive plan and that's my limit), so I wanted to work with I already have. Here's what I thought, so far: - Mirror my HD using Notebooks and Notes, maybe even Stacks, in EN. Every note would be a directory with lots of files (documents - texts, PDFs, scans -, mainly). - Use a Note as index with links (I'm still thinking if I do it or not, maybe it could be the most difficult part, keeping it updated). - Use Flickr to store photos. - Put everything that doesn't fit in Google Drive (videos, etc). I wondered if you have thought of different systems or even have hints on how to set this up. I never read anything about it and wanted to hear opinions and suggestions, if possible. Thank you.
  7. If you use Android, you can also share Keep's notes directly into Evernote, through their 'share' function. The opposite is also possible. I haven't explored a lot, but the possibilities to think of interesting workflows between the two are very fertile. I'm using Keep only for recurring reminders for now, but there's plenty of room for a solid and versatile combination.

    I believe Evernote will bring recurring reminders in the near future. Anyway, as I said, I don't use Keep instead of EN, but only to cover for recurring reminders for the task planning in EN.

    Greetings, I've been using Google Keep to set recurring reminders based on Evernote task planning. It has worked like a charm so far with my workflow, and you can even send them to Evernote, to remind that you have completed them, or to remind you to add them to your planning note. Another option, already mentioned here, is to use Sunrise Calendar. Although I use Sunrise also, I find it faster to manage recurring reminders via Keep. FollowUpThem is interesting, but Keep covers for all my needs with a simpler and neat interface.
  10. Greetings, I've been using Evernote for a few years and recently I started to deal with recurring dates for projects. For me, a downside of Evernote is the lack of recurring reminders. I tried two apps with the reminder function, Todoist and Google Keep. However, Todoist locks the feature for its Premium users, which is a major reason for me to look for something else, since I already pay for the Premium version of Evernote. I found in Google Keep a solid app to use in integration with Evernote, specially because of its robust reminder function, with a lot of possibilities to set recurring reminders. My basic workflow has Evernote as a main repository of tasks, with linked notes stored in separate main planning notes, for each project. Now, with Keep, based on the planning I did with Evernote, I set the weekly and monthly reminders to remind me of important deadlines, tasks and events related to those projects. I can say it works like a charm. I wanted to know other ways to integrate and fully implement productivity workflows with Evernote and the recurring reminder function of Keep. Suggestions?
